I am looking for an Obnoxious Exhaust System for my ride. I only put a few hundred miles a year on her so the louder the better. What is available ?
I would also like to go with the rear bumper delete Kit.

Stainless Works.

Cats but no mufflers. :biggrin

^ Those will probably be your best value.

The Ford rear exit headers are also super loud but a bit over $4000.

Frank:

I installed the FRPP M-9430-GTX system and although a bit pricey, it sounds, looks and performs amazingly well. Combined with weight and engine bay heat reduction, IMO this is a great system. Mash on the go pedal, however, and the hammers of hell will blush. It is really loud (>94 db I believe).

Frank:

If you go with full length headers, you might want to contact Shadowman regarding the kit he developed for same which prevents cracking pblms, etc., caused by the expansion/contraction of the exhaust system in relation to it's stationary mounting brackets.

There's a thread - or posts - on this kit around here somewhere. But, I'm just too darn lazy to search for it right now! :cheers

no cats either:biggrin

M-9430-GTX: out of production, Hard to find, some being sold at very high premium.

Shadowmans system; Very Sweet but also out of production at the moment. Possibly available again (told to me by Bill) Have to ask the source.

Stainless Works; available with 3 week turn around. Possibly able to use expansion/contraction mounts on this or any system with enough time spent.

no cats either:biggrin

You da Man. I'm 100% open on my boat motors, Neighbors already hate me. :biggrin

.

Shadowman had a modified Stainless works system which is what I believe Empty Pockets was referring too. I had it installed on my red gal. It had a flexible cross tube H-pipe and the captive spring mounting studs. I'm sure he has some laying around.

I think he means this one made with a pair of stainless Flowmasters.

I have the new (pictured) Shadowman system on both of my gals now and love it!. I thought EP was referring to the older Stainless Works/Shadowman system. Kind of confusing Shadowman just has his fingers everywhere.:wink

If you want a simple and loud system just do a cat delete and an X-Pipe that way you don'y have to deal with removing the exhaust manifolds. Just the x-pipe and cats are very loud to anyone outside of the vehicle.

Brain's right, one of the Cali guy's ran an x-pipe minus the cats and it is insanely loud!

sandman is correct, Lorenzo. His system is the one to which I referred. :wink :cheers

I'd wager the Flowmaster setup would sound DARN GOOD, too (I've had a couple of Flowmaster systems myself)...but, it won't have the demon-from-hell sound the straight thru long tube FRPP "off road" system has (Ford's OR the one from Stainless Works). THAT is the type of system one would want if absolutely, truely, totally "OBNOXIOUS", neighbor inciting, chalk-screeching-on-a-chalkboard, "Good evening, Officer" kinda racket is your end goal, Frank. :lol

What did you say, I couldn't hear you? :biggrin

I am somewhat familiar with the system in question.

Truly, it is a remarkable system but not for the faint of heart. Any new mothers in the neighborhood will begin plotting your demise immediately after installation. The flowmaster can create a deep bellowing engine tone that, I believe, is indicative of the big American V8s. You get a sense of it with the Borla system but not on this scale. While the Ford long tube headers are probably louder by shear decibel measurements, I they are a bit to raspy for a car that has such a smooth hypnotizing street demeanor.

It is getting confusing. the one you pictured is the one out of production at this time.

I can still remember driving along through Nevada minding my own business when Black Ice hit the loud pedal and I nearly went through the roof of my gal. I didn't know what had just happened only that it was LOUD!

You're right Lorenzo posted pictures of the Shadowman/Fubar/Flowmaster system.
You (2112) posted pictures of the Stainless Works system.
EP was referencing the Stainless Works/Shadowman hybrid system.

Hope this helps.:cheers

he said he wants obnoxious:biggrin thats not obnoxious, thats just loud. there are two more levels past loud, really loud, then obnoxious:lol

stainless straight through no cats, now thats obnoxious, just ask any of my neighbors:wink
