GT Color Value, Myth or Reality

I constantly see comments on how the Red and White cars are always the lowest when it comes to resale but I also know that the Camilo/Heffner Red/Wht Gt sold for good money and that was a Red car. So I started thinking... Would a Red/Wht Heritage or White/Blue Heritage with a Heffner TT and an endorsement from Camilo raise the resale value to bust the myth and not just by adding the cost of enhancements?

This question makes no sense to me.

Merged these threads HH.

The Camilo/Heffner car and any other one off or special custom paintjob is irrelevant to the larger discussion of factory GT colors and prices. Factory red and white aren't cheapest because the paint is red and white, they are cheapest because they represent a huge chunk of production (mainly because in 2005 dealers just ordered the obvious colors. I bet very, very few people on this forum bought a 2005 with a spec order) and are thus readily available. Out of 4038 cars, there were 1,108 red cars. There were 725 white cars. That's nearly half of all GT's. The other half is split between 6 other colors. When I bought the no stripe red that became the Camilo/Heffner car, the only reason I had to pay up big for it was because it was on MSO and had 20 miles. Any MSO sub-20 mile car will be expensive, but an MSO no stripe black car with 20 miles would have been more. WAY more.

From an article in the October 2010 Classic & Sports Car magazine. I posted the entire article in the forum's Media section.

sure don't like the word "clone". IMO they are far from it.
