Just in case you guys did not know, Barry McQuire showed up last week in Irvine at the Ford Design center where we go on Saturday Mornings here in SoCal. He owns a Black with no Stripes.

BTW, if any of you east coasters are thinking of moving westward, we are still experiencing 90 degree plus weather by daytime and sleeping with the windows open by night.

Here is a couple of pictures from the show Saturday. The little guy is my son Nick, the Red car is mine and the Heritage is George's aka Midinght Blue.

See you SoCal GT owners on Dec 2nd

I tried to upload the pictures, but they are too large - someone help!

THANKS for letting us know how nice it it there. It's freakin freezing here. I was planning to wait till January to buy something out by you, but now I may have to bump things up. :thumbsup

Barry Maguier is quite a guy. I gave him his first ride in a GT. When Car Crazy did the show on the GT, I did the Wixom end of it. Got my 15 minutes of TV fame.

I take it you are talking about Barry Maguire the singer, song writer of the New Christy Minstrels fame. Some of us old guys remember the hit 'Eve Of Destruction'. He does Christian music now. He did live in Fresno, home of Bony & Awsum.

your kidding me, 4 channels, wow, we get two here in fresburg, but mrs. bony uses the antenna to hang out the laundry. right now some of her bloomers are drying out, but it make it look like it is snowing in letterman's studio. some sporting lady told me they even got color tv in chowchilla? is that the case? :banana :lol :banana

Bony, we have to go to the Napa store to watch color tv. To top it off they have a 15 dollar cover charge. This place just flat sucks. You got any cheap rentals up for grab in Fresburg? Maybe something with a coolcover for my ride. I could be your neighbor and we could go cruising until my bolts fall out. :cheers

STILL trying to figure out what a TV is !!!!! You south coast boys get all the good stuff. :confused

Did a Google search on the word "TV" and it came up "transvestite" and from what I understand that wouldn't be considered "the good stuf". Would that mean that "color TV" would be a racial term? Would "watching a TV" be voyeurism?

Dang-it! Just take the o'le buck-board into the general store and getcha one of them new satamalite dishes. :lol

Guys, Barry is a great guy. Not only a great car guy, but just an overall humble guy. I sit on a nonprofit board with Barry and have gotten to know him a liitle more. All his cars are black. Which makes sense since he owns a great car wax company!

I remember seeing that episode some time ago. Unfortunately I did not record it. Is there a link for obtaining a copy.

Thanks

Doccars

It was a 2 part show, with the Saleen facility on the first one, and Wixom on the second. The production people told me they would send me a copy of the show, but never did. I did manage to tape the second part, and converted it to DVD, and I have that at least. I tried to see Barry at the SEMA show, but he was real busy taping shows.

If anyone talks to him, ask if it's possible to buy copies of the show.

Rich :thumbsup

The shows are on the car crazy web site. I have not tried to pull them down and burn them, only watched.

http://www.carcrazycentral.com/cc_search_results.aspx

Doubt this link is solid. Click on "downloads", search Ford GT, and 5 pages come up, scoll over and both episodes are listed.

Hope this helps.

Look Ma, I'm On Tv

Just watched the Wixom segment of the show. Boy did I need a hair cut. The link is good, but you need to dig around the video section a little. :thumbsup
