Like Chip Beck, I too did not want to pay over list for a Shelby GT500. So I went out bought a new 2007 Mustang GT to convert to a Shelby CS8. Shelby is so tied up building the Shelby GT's that they cannot and will not promise any delivery date on my parts. So... I bit the bullet, traded in the 2007 GT with 300 miles on the odometer for a GT500. Call me stupid, call me crazy. Let's just hope that for all of us who bought a GT500 the values stay high and dealers get their mark-up. By the way, in case you are curious, I basically got all my money back on the Mustang GT and paid about $15K over list. Not as bad as being robbed in a back alley I guess.
