Watch starting at 5 minute into this where he says that his Lambo is much better than the FGT he used to own, because is doesn't breakdown!

Unfair, but that is what he said.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but didn't I read somewhere that he had problems with his after a bad mod or an incorrect tune.

Clarkson's only problem with his GT that I am aware of was with an aftermarket security system/immobilizer that went haywire. As for the superior reliability of his Lambo, let's see what happens after he puts 20-30K hard miles on it.

We need Neilda to take him out bird hunting again and convince him to retrack that bogus remark........:slap

And he really needs to drive a Whipped or at least a well tuned GT

Very nice. :biggrin

I think I saw a clip of him driving a GTX-1 at one time and I remember him commenting on loving the extra power. :thumbsup

But Neilda needs to show him this clip

This is my favorite clip from Clarkson of all time. He took his GT along with a Ferrari 430 spyder and a Pagani Zonda to Paris and had some parking issues. Like we all can't relate to that. :lol

The noise the Zonda makes :eek as it tries to exit the parking garage. Ouch!!! On top of that I don't think Clarkson could have got any closer to scraping on his garage exit without hitting the front. Here is the clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtjSbs4_4mI&feature=related

This is just the parking sequence but the whole segement of their 700 mile road trip is worth the time to watch. :cheers

In the Top Gear tests we always see Jeremy Clarkson defend the FGT and the other two guys teasing him. Do any one know of tests done by some of the other two guys where they actually drove the FGT?

The other two (Hammond and May) never drove the FGT on screen.

As I've mentioned here before, JC did not look after his GT, he tried to jump start it from a trickle charger and regularly let the battery drain. He is not a practical or mechanically minded person and is used to car makers giving him everything - the consequence of which is that he's incredibly impatient.

It's a shame he's taken a couple of shots at the GT and I've told him as much.

Still a nice guy despite this!

Neil -

Did he sell his GT?

Ralphie

Yes he did, in favour of a Gallardo Spyder.

His 'old' GT is performing faultlessly for someone else in the UK.

parking in Paris

In ancient times we had the BB512i in Paris for 3 days. Appears nothing has changed (1983)::frown

:thumbsup

I did manage to flatten the front numberplate under the car the other day but that's hardly the cars fault.

The Gayardo's gone now and he's driving one of those fast(ish) AMG Merc barges.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, my hero! Dirty Harry is da man! (Who'll ever forget: "You gotta ask yurself a question...Do I feel LUCKY today?...Well DO ya...PUNK?" :lol :lol :lol)

Of course, in the real world, ol' D.H. woulda been swiss cheese before he coulda pulled the .44 in the above clip - but, that's STILL a classic scene regardless!!! :banana
