Jay Leno's Garage - New GT 11/18

Raj lets the secret out. Under 3000 lbs.

Wonder how much under? :biggrin

*quick, someone get Texas Mongrel a fork and knife for that hat he has to eat*

Good Show - I liked the section with Mario, too!

That was a very nice time for Leno at Sonoma Raceway - I've only turned 2:14 in our Lemons car ('95 VW GTI).

By the way, the completely revamped Grand Reopening of the "Peterson Museum" (where the Mark III GT40 is stored) is on December 5.

Dave is from Texas so a 10 gallon beaver felt hat would work. It's smaller than a Texas sombrero. I think DBK needs to schedule the Feast as an event at Rally XI". I'll bring the Grey Poupon!

I haven't watched the show yet. I just came in and it had 4 minutes. I'll watch it tomorrow.

Is 3000lb for the street or race car? I'm betting +-10Kg of the minimum weight of 1245Kg (from the 2015 rule book) for the race car (2745lb).

How about a poll?

Did they show the engine with the clamshell (or whatever this cover is) open?

They showed the Silver mockup car (which has no engine installed)

I'm confused... Would that be a " Beaver Pelt " Hat...? I've felt some beavers but never a pelt ..!! :biggrin ..

As a flatlander, you don't know what you've missed - only us mountain boys have "felt a pelt" :lol

I'm in at 2920 LBS.... I hope it's lower...:pop:pop

Wet or dry?

Ford doesn't play around with useless dry weight quotations.

OK then, with or without Leno, and/or before or after eating pasta? ;-))

If we do a weight guessing game we should give everyone 25lbs "space" on either side and obide by Price is Right rules (closest without going over).
2825 lbs.

Lightest optioned weight or heaviest?

Just think of what an 05 GT would be like if you knocked 500+ lbs out of it...

Lightest optioned weight: I'm in at 2782#

Extra points for early guessing early to penalize those late entry strategies.

His body language when asked about the weight of the car suggests a car well under 3,000 pounds. I am going to guess around 2,750.

Well, everyone beat me to the "I've eaten lots of beaver" puns.

Still think I'm safe

That was a great episode. My younger son (15) really liked it, and couldn't believe how timeless the MkIII was/is. He reaally liked look of new one though.

2,740
And I think hp will be 675.
