It begins

I had a tire failure on every trip I ever made with my trailer. No rhyme or reason to each failure. Tried different brands but always at least one would blow. Hope you have at least one spare.

And the party continues

I hope everyone has a great time! Keep the pics and videos coming

Trailer tires.....Been there done that several times. That's why I now carry 2 spares, real tools, and a full size 2 ton jack. Last flat was coming home ironically from Detroit, 2013 Woodward. With the right tools, we were stationary to change it for less than 15 minutes.

If planning long-distance travels, it is always best to have trailer tires less than 2 years old, and even then there is no guarantee!

Hey Nigel, that translates to you re-entering the track down 6 laps. How you gonna' make it up?? :wink

Blowout #2 today, near the OH-MI border. Same wheel position on the trailer as yesterday. Brake drum was cool to the touch. Nothing rubbing. :confused

But, we made it. First trailer in the Ford WHQ lot. The security guy did not know we were coming, but he was cool. He said he would let his colleagues know.

Then the Grey Ghost rolled in.

Glad to see you made it safely, Gary, if not uneventfully. See you Monday at 6:00 PM in the lobby! Leaving Jersey at 4:30 AM. Lynn is flying so my first stop is Newark airport in a Ford GT, with a 40 lb suitcase on Lynn's lap. Keep your distance from her........

Have an unbelievably amazing time my GT family!

Wish I could be there, but eager to see the photos and fun!

I believe I'm the only person I know of who has never had a flat/blowout on a car trailer. I'VE HAD THE NUT ON THE TRAILER HITCH BALL come loose a couple of times - but, never a flat tire.

OTOH, when my eldest daughter towed her 'turbo terrific' to Scottsdale in the late '90s (during her move down there), her "U-Haul" car trailer had a 'flat' at the Oregon/Washington border...this AFTER I'd insisted that the local U-Haul outfit replace the 'baldies' on said trailer B4 she picked it up - WHICH THEY DID.

Bottom line? I'm convinced there ARE NO 'friendly' car trailer gods...:mad

Here at Henry today. Car at Reliable. Plan on picking it up tomorrow.

Will there be any secure parking at the Henry?

Right now, 2 reds in the parking lot in the rain, and pe2unia under the canopy out front.

What happens when we get 100 here?
