My dealer called me this afternoon with the good news - the big orange truck arrived with my GT! My wife and I immediately rushed over. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and interested. After taking care of formalities, we took off for home for a 30+ mile drive in rush hour traffic. It attracted a LOT of attention. We lost track of the number of camera-phones we saw. Unfortunately the forecast is for rain the next two days, so it's going to be a garage queen while I remove all the protective film, covers, labels, etc.
I plan on taking it easy until it's broken in.
Thanks to all of you for your support

Oh yeah, the particulars - White / Stripes / Lightweight Wheels / std Black calipers / std radio

I'm excited :banana

Congratulations
Where are you located?
Rob

Congratulations. Now come out of the garage and get some sleep! pd :cheers

David, I just got in from the garage for the umpteenth time :biggrin

Rob, I'm in North Georgia.

I guess the two days of rain will give me time to read the manual.

You did it!

Awesome! Safe driving and lifting! Jay www.gtsaver.com

CONGRATULATIONS Vince!!!

I'm playing the waiting game.... hopefully an identical orange truck is making good headway westbound for California. I'm hoping for the call on Friday.

IF it happens on Fri. Come on down to CC Sat. AM and go to BK with us at Flo's in Chino.. George

Congratulations White Petunia and enjoy!!! :cheers

Kirby, I sent you a PM :)

nota4re, the big orange truck is headed your way - you'll be driving this weekend :banana

White Petunia - now it's time to smell the roses. Congrats. Enjoy. You know it was worth the wait.

Great news! Take it easy and enjoy!! :cheers

Aw c'mon Vince, you know it's just a car and that the thrill will fade.

NOT FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS!!! :biggrin

Well done and well deserved!!! Looking forward to your posts about impressions, experiences, etc.

would like to see a pic of it.
Congrats, I know you have been waiting a while. :banana

Absolutely love the enthusiasm in your post and the numerous trips to the garage. I took delivery on April 3rd and still get blown away by the fact that I own a Ford GT. I still make those trips to the garage. Cherish it, enjoy it and after you've "broken it in", drive the hell out of it!!! Congrats :cheers Dan

Thanks for all the kind words !

Here's a pic. Yep - You can easily tell I'm one of those guys who asks the dealer to leave everything in it's place. I sometimes feel bad doing that, because it's like I don't trust them. I even asked to keep the greasy floor mat protector that the transport truck driver used !!!!

btw - Im still perfecting the "GT Crawl" in the garage. My wife is getting a big kick out of watching me. I'm glad she doesn't know how to use the video camera ! Anyways, it's nice to see her laugh and be happy.
