Well we made it. Windy and muggy. Already excited. Monica and I are going to walk around and scout the place out tomorrow.

Don't mind Terry. He means IMSA. . You have to excuse him he just turned another year older and he still discombobulated from that ride in the McLaren..:biggrin
He would have to be in Belgium to watch the WEC race.. and that tower screams COTA...:lol
 
:lol OOPS, thanks for the correction Brian. :facepalm: 12 hours of driving and was looking at the two race series on my app.
 
The COTA website says IMSA May 05-06 and WEC September 16th.

I don't know what the hell is going on here in the Pond family. Typically, Ryan and I are spending weekends either with him racing or the two of us working on the race car - or in building the new one. Meanwhile, the "girls", Cindy and Lauren, are off shopping or whatever the heck it is that they do. Then, out of nowhere a couple of weeks ago Lauren announces that she is going to COTA - and she's taking mom with her. Ryan and I just looking at each other.... "what just happened?" Anyway, I guess it is real. Ryan and I will be here trying to complete the race car project and the girls will undoubtedly bump into some of you at the race. They are flying out tonight. Terry - please keep them out of trouble (again).

Tight qualifying. 7 cars within 3 tenths. 67 starts P4, 66 starts P3.

Briscoe was on a flyer on his last lap but got screwy under heavy braking and called it a session.
 
I'm sorry, but those BMWs just look like bricks going down the straight compared to the rest, especially the GTs.

Mike Taracoff with Ford Concessions (Versacom) is a great guy. I purchase a lot of product direct from him in Michigan. Mention my name maybe you'll get to pay regular retail! ha Ha
