Hoosier Tire Order Thread for 2016

Any additional information on how these do on the street? Mileage? Street alignment settings? Track alignment settings?

I run the rears on my car all year round . Street or track I never change them until the lines disappear. . Mileage varies on the amount or track time vs street time but for pure road use they last almost as long the good years because in my case the spin less when you're on the gas.. No change required to the stock suspension setting just for the tires.

What do you run on the front Brian?

He runs Michelins. Don't forget he has special wheels.

Hey Herb, Frank is correct I have 19" wheels up front to clear my brakes. I run a Pilot sport Cup up front 245/??/19 don't remember the aspect ratio off the top of my head.. it think it's a 35. The Pilot sport cups are super sticky.. That's what will come on the new GT

I have changed my wheels out & no longer use the OEM size. I have 2015 made Hoosiers for sale. PM me if interested.

Fronts, Ed?

I think I have 2 fronts & 2 rears. They are wrapped in black plastic in a climate controlled environment (my dental office employees kitchen - LOL)

Thank you. My focus was on the manufacturer's tire (if not running Hoosiers) as opposed to size and aspect......so thank you both!

If I recall correctly, and from what I am gleaning from this thread, there isn't any special considerations/problems with running two different manufacture's tires as long as the fronts are the same, and the rears are the same.....right!?

You are correct.

Herb: I'll differ with Frank. If the front pair and rear pair come from different manufacturers, they weren't matched for dynamic behavior together, so you're doing your own testing. The tires need to have about the same grip, otherwise one end will let go in a turn before the other end, and that could have "exciting" results. If you rely on the experience of the other guys on the Forum, particularly those who race, then you're okay. I'm sure that's what you will do, I just want to make that clear to others who might pop in on this thread and don't know that.
