I just have to say over past 2 months I enjoy passing by the BMW dealership which has a HB FGT displayed on the corner of the lot. But it frustrates me to see they are such goofballs and have let it just sit in weeks of rain as we had recently and dont bother pulling it under the overhang. I feel so bad for poor baby blue. Not sure how or why the got it but a friend of mine went and asked and was told they were asking 249K for it and had 14,000 miles!!! I wish this beaty is saved somehow by sombody!!! ,:ack BTW where did the Calabasas Cars and Coffee on Sunday move to?; :confused

who in their right mind would pay that for a car that has sat in the rain AND has 14k miles on it??? IMHO a 29 mile Heritage is NOT worth that. there are dealers and then there are speculators ... I love the first ... LOATH the second. (now where is my gun emoti-con?) :wink

If they had any brains they would make a deal with The Auto Gallery across the freeway to display it in their showroom. They would have a much higher chance of finding clueless rich guy who is looking at Ferraris to buy it.

The odds of finding a "rich guy" who's that clueless are probably not too great. :biggrin

Of course, there are lotto winners (by birth or by "ticket") who could be, I suppose.. :willy

Yeah. But they also have that new overpriced Alfa Romeo in there which is beautiful but priced equal to 2 Ferraris.

Would not expect anything else from a BMW dealer.

Evidently, whomever you talked to gave you incorrect mileage info, OR the ad on their website has the wrong mileage on it, but, the website says the mileage is 2,383.

Given the storage conditions, they were quoting a weather compensated mileage. :ack

Supercar Sunday happens every Sunday morning in Woodland Hills, CA at the corner of Topanga Canyon Blvd and Erwin St. I think that's the Westfields Shopping Center. Went there one Sunday and the turn out was good, not as great as the one in Irvine.

Actually, it could be worse. A dealership on Northup Way in Bellevue (Wa.) had a WHITE/blue(!) FGT sitting out under a diciduous tree. You can imagine the mess that created given the amount of 'wet stuff' we have up here. :frown :willy

Thanks HB for the SC Sunday Info. Now Im tempted to go over to the BMW dealer and see what the real mileage is. Im curious. I beleive this car was at the Malibu/SantaBarbara Rally last year.

Park Place? Figures. I tend to put them in category #2 from post # 2.

There used to be a good wheel shop behind them, CarNutz, Wonder if they are surviving the economy?

I shall cast no specifically targeted stones, sir! :wink
