Ya, well, don't feel like The Lone Ranger, Larry. I didn't miss any either. :frown

Ooooooooookaay... speaking of The Lone Ranger, who played that character in the long running T.V. series?

What was Roy Roger's MALE sidekick's MIDDLE name?

What was Red Rider's horse's name?

"The Shadow" was the secret identity of whom? (And NO - it isn't/wasn't Bill N.!)

Okay, I'll throw in a car question:
What was the 1st American production car to produce 300 hp? (Everybody here [state side anyway!] pbly should know that!)

And no fair "Googling"!!! :lol

4. How was overdrive engaged?
5. What innovation for driver comfort did the 1955-1957 thunderbirds have?
6. What was the "continental" look referring to?
7. What was the first "smog" ordinance and where was it enacted?
8. What does "O.J." stand for?

1- dim headlites

2- Depends if you mean the FIRST ONE some one could get...which was a mail order "cheapy" costing a buck or so that was attached to the windshield frame and hand cranked back & forth from inside the car, or the factory vacuum operated ones that ran off of a tube connected to the intake manifold.

3-"curb feelers" (Metal "antenna" looking things about a foot long that attached to the car behind the wheels and which made a distinctive sound when they scraped the curb.

4- early ones by a lever on the floor (mechanical). Later ones "elecrically" by operating a switch on the dash. (My '37 Chrys has the latter.)

5- NO CLUE WHATSOEVER! NONE 'far as I'm concerned! (It DARN SURE wasn't the seat/dash/steering wheel proximity!

6- "continental kit"...spare tire mounted on the rear bumper.

7- pbly the one Pittsburg passed in about 1890(?) or so wherein "soft coal" was banned as a fuel for trains. (And yes, I WAS there when it went into effect!)

8- Orenthal(sp?) James (...AKA: "The REAL Killer")

Well, I'd hafta "Google" it...but I'm pretty darn sure FRD said pretty much 'ZACTLY what I stated he said.

Now, if you'da included the words "...to fight a war that...", I'da been headed into the right era/right war! :lol

"SP" = abbrevation of "spelling"
