GTX1 removable top

Is there any information availible as to the status of the removable top for the GTX1. How many pieces and when?

we saw it at INDY, looks great, contact Mr. Gennandi.

Anyone get pictures?

i did not take any, mark had it up and down several times.... do please check with him.

Somehow I don't have any. I was impressed by the look of the cloth top. Most verts look goofy with the top on. Pretty simply operation too when I helped put it back on at the track.

Here are a few pictures of the soft top. Thanks for coordinating such a great event. It was a pleasure meeting all of you at Indy.

Wow! That looks fantastic!

Nice job, Mark. That's a great looking soft top. It will provide some peace of mind if the drought ever ends in Atlanta.
Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks everyone, finally we have a hardtop that stows in the car and looks great when it is on.

I was told there would be hard tops for the convertion that would fit in the car?????? Is that correct like it shows on the web site??

Thanks

If you have ordered and paid for a GTX1 you will get both the hard/soft top pictured here on the SEMA Edition car and a painted hardtop that will not stow in the car. All new buyers of a GTX1 will get the hard/soft top as shown only. The non storable 3-piece hard top painted the color of your car will not be part of the upgrade but rather an option.

As development and economics play a big role in small manufacturing like the GTX1, things are subject to change both in pricing and design. We will always do our best to stick to our promises.

Mark, is it possible to show pictures of where this "Hard/Soft" top is stored. And why is it called a Hard/Soft top?

I must have mistaken, the web site when I looked at the pakages offerd...there was no mention that the hard tops were an extra...... it seemed to be included in the base convertion....thanks for the heads up...allways good to wait till all the changes are made then a consumer can know exsactly what they might have paid for......

Thanks for the info.....

The old saying, "the early bird gets the worm" applies here. Those folks that ordered early get both the foldable hard top and the removeable unit. As I understand it, those that order now can get the removeable unit at an added cost but get the foldable as standard.

The custom coachwork business is quite complicated. It always takes longer than anticipated. Seems like Mark's customers are a satisified bunch. No doubt his program is not for everyone.

Well said, Bony. The vanguards who order early and sent their cars had a long wait, but it paved the way for those who remained on the sidelines and can now get a turnaround as quickly as 6 weeks depending upon the options they want. The GTX1 is a beauty queen when parked and a rock star on the street.

I was out to see Mark and his outstanding operation yesterday. I saw the convertable top and I know all the GTX1 owners will be very pleased with it! It looks like the final hard top is ready to roll also. I'm getting very anxious, delivery isn't far away. GTX-1 conversion, performance upgrade, convenience package, trans cooler, hidden bumper and silver grommet Sparco race seats. Thanks Mark.
