Love the picture with the Firewood.:thumbsup:thumbsup

I love the sound of the engine. Too bad nothing that sounds that good would get by a CARB smog test in CA.

Even though it is licensed as a 67'? It is a 67' right.

Good luck with a "67" repo that was not really made in 67. Now a real GT40 you can have but that cost a wee bit more.

I thought they were given VINs from the year they were originally made, like the Shelby continuation cars.

Continuations cars can not "legally" be registered in CA. Some time in the past they slipped by the system.

They do have 60s era VINS like GT40P2161. I would agree CA is not a friendly place to register a hot rod but there must be ways around it because there are plenty out there(SB100). They do seem to be keen on recognizing the difference between a continuation and a real thing regardless of the VIN or even if it comes in from out of state already titled as a 68 or not. I'm glad I don't live there :)

I was looking through the Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2012 list and found this:

Love the color :) Tungsten was my first choice for the GT but I couldn't pass up the Heritage.

You have a big garage ;)

I'm so ready for next spring!

Got the car off the ground last night and fixed the coolant leak. Had a little time today to wash wheels and tires and inspect hubs and brakes.

From the look of those 'megs', my guess is 'we be' running a tad bit 'rich'?

'Haven't swapped the jets out for your 30K ft elevation yet, I'd wager!

DANG, that's a nice lookin' ride!

I've got two different carbs. One for sea level and one for 5500' in Denver. I have fired it up a couple times up here at 9000' so its I little sloppy up here.

Entirely unoriginal but still mine. Can't wait for next spring to show up to Ferraris & Coffee in Denver :)

Great sound. Makes me nervous seeing you sit in it while its on the stands!

$58 for a personalized plate? Nice!!!

My 5 year collector car plates were ~$250 compared to $800/yr for the GT :)

Where/how are you going to mount the rear 'plate? On the 'mesh', or off the transaxle/chassis someplace?

$32 here.
