Traveled to Olthoff Racing in Mooresville, NC this week to pick up the GT40. Great bunch of folks. Had a great time but am wore out from driving our asses off. Good to be back home in Colorado.Videos to come but safe to say it is nasty. A whole different animal than the GT!

Headed out towards Ashland NC and on to Knoxville TN Wed night, then St Louis Thur 6am, and on to Hays Kansas Thur afternoon. Windmills as far as the eye could see for 20 miles or more. Rolled into Denver around midnight Thur.

Stroked run of the mill Roush aluminum carbureted 550hp Windsor. FE won't fit in a Mk I even if you wanted to.

That sure is a beauty. I thought you were getting the 427IR fuel injected (like in my Cobra) but decided to go with standard carbs? Which aluminum block? I thought that family were all iron blocks but they may have added other models since I got mine.

I'm about ready to pop on a Heritage GT. Now we really have to terrorize the tourists, children, elk, small children, bears, and fish on a drive up to Estes and back down Big Thompson. I think 36 from Lyons is a better twisty drive than going up Hwy 7. Either way.

Have to do it before it snows since I won't take anything out after the first application of sand. Hopefully mine will be here before the end of the month.

Congrats! It's a beauty.

P.S. I like the Gurney bubble. Nice touch. Wish they were still doing them for the FGTs.

Hey, Mike, whenever 'tis you get around to washing the '40 for the 1st time, would you take note of anyplace the car leaks and give us a report?

'Long story as to why I ask. :cheers

BTW, I'm not jealous about your new ride. Nope. Not a bit. No sir. Huh uh. Not me...
