Cobra is an old school car and needs traditional halibrand or halibrand like(trigo) knock offs.

I don't know the resto rod look is kind of cool on the car. Wonder what the stock wheels would look like on the car with a set of PS2's on it?

:biggrin

Hello Kirkham???

:lol

I agree with Stu. There's just nothing that "fits" these cars in every sense of the word like the old style wheels. (The FGT wheels don't look BAD on the Cobra necessarily...they just look "wrong"...out of place...inappropriate.

'Saw a '60 Impala at a show not long ago that had 20" wheels and rubber band tires on it. 'Looked TOTALLY wrong as well.

(Either car looks kinda like a Revell model kit with these wheels on 'em.)

Hmm, I am on the fence on this one. Not sure what I think.....:confused

+1. I'm a huge halibrand fan. Especially on a Cobra. In fact, too bad there isn't a modern rendition (i.e. 19-20" version) for the FGT. It would be soooo cool.

No, looks absolutely wrong with a modern wheel on the car.

The irony here is that the OEM's for the cobra would probably look fantastic on our GT's just not the other way around.....:confused

Knock that off.

Lug nuts and low profile tires look out of place on Cobras IMO.

:thumbsdow

Wouldn't be my choice

+1 Does not look good at all IMHO. :thumbsdow And I own a SPF cobra and would never do what this fellow did. Even the stock wheels form the GT would not look good on the cobra.

I think this is Kirby playing tricks on us all. Those are Michelin tires on those wheels, and I'll bet his contacts have finally come up wiht the Ford GT Hallibrands he's been waiting for.

Those wheels on the Cobra deserve the caption "what was he thinking or drinking?". :frown
I tried my best to get a prototype set of Hailbrand knock-offs to display on my X1 at the Rally, but neither will be there. The last I heard from Halibrand is they were going to make a bolt-on to look like a knock off for the GT and Mustang and do a true KO after that. There's a slim chance they may have something to show at SEMA. After about 3 years, I'm ready to pass the "KO wheels" baton. :cheers

As discussed before, due to the front offset it would be very difficult to get a KO wheel to look correct.

NOT ON MY COBRA IMO!!!! The wheels look just fine on a GT.
