Gentleman,
I don't have my manual handy. Off hand, anyone know what is the weight of the GT (when filled with gas and misc. typical fluids)

Thanks !

I think about 3,300 Lbs.

I heard of weights approaching, if not exceeding 3500 lbs when full of fluids.

The base curb weight is shown as 3,350 lb. in the 2005 Ford GT Index of Key Features.

Which is then correct, if you deduct the fuel weight...

Not quite -

Remember, he has taken out the heavy exhaust manifolds, flanged cats and very heavy muffler and installed the FRPP exhaust, which also shifts more weight forward. Great data!

Wait a minute, I thought the tank only held 16.6 gallons?

I thought it was more like 17.X

Unfortunately we didn't weigh my car before the mods to have a baseline weight. Has anyone weighed a bone-stock car? If there's one in the Phoenix area I'd be happy to weigh it for you. If it's a delivery-mile car, that's even better - I'll bring the scales to you! :cheers

DWRT - with or without the optional lightweight BBS wheels?

We know that the stripe options adds some weight. :lol

2005 Ford GT #1467 has all four options, wheels, Mac, stripes, red calipers.

Re: GT38's setup

The Muffler is the Borla unit that Ford Racing sells, stock manifolds & cats,
the wheels as weighed are the C14's from CCW which are forged (BBS was a typo). The Goodyear slicks are MUCH lighter than the stockers... sorry no actual weights, but certainly a noticeable difference when carrying the dismounted tires.
