For those of you that may be interested in bringing your GT's up to 2010 Specification in regards to lighting I want to show you what I have done.

The engine illumination kit is now available in Red, Blue and White
A fairly straight forward install. It will require professional installation.
Kit Consists of 2 LED Strips that are mounted just under the upper Engine bay braces. You can control the LED's with an optional 12-volt wireless remote control. So if you are parked near a patio or car show at night, you can control the engine illumination kit at night.

Additionally you can change the interior lights in the rear view mirror to LED style that match the climate control system lights, as well as the License Plate illumination lights. Out with the yellow - in with the cool white.

Here are a few photo's of what it looks like.
Really hard to capture on film - but very cool in person.

For info on the kits please PM me

LED Bulb replacement kit for interior led's and license plate lights are will be appx $60 (high quality LED bulbs - SMT flat mount technology)

Looks like She's Got Legs is now She's Got Lights.

She's got leds!!

Looks really cool. Does "requires professional install" mean that the below average mechanic (ie me) should not attempt install on their own without risking electrocution?

Pro install just means basic wiring knowledge..
The easiest way to install is to wire up to the parking lights at the rear of the car, and the LED's come on with the parking lights. More advanced if you run a switch to the cabin.

The optional wireless kit makes it easier to install externally within the engine bay and control from outside of the car.

The GT Guys have done a few installs as well - so maybe Rich can chime in with their install method.

Personally, I'd be more inclined to either connect to the parking lights, or control via a wireless kit, rather than run a switch to the cabin.

The wireless kit will give you the most flexibility - as if you want to "Show off" the lights when parked, the parking lights will have to be left on - which will draw a bit more power than having the LED's on only.

With the wireless kit - you can basically turn them on/off, on demand, even while sitting at a patio near the car, or standing around at a show. LED's on only don't draw too much power at all. You could leave them on all night and still be able to start the car in the am!

Prices?

$60 for led bulb kit and $60 for illumination kit only
Www.exoticare.ca/fordgt for illumination kit or PM me please for bulb kit

Hey Andrew you will need to post some pictures of the install close up cause we need to know if these will work with our custom braces:thumbsup

shadowman bring your tools to the rally, I pack some blue tape for yah

FYI, I installed the second prototype nuclear reactor light in the partking lot of the Ritz in Dearborn during Rally I. Fairly easy install, especially if you have a smaller hemostat (surgical blood clamp). This set-up is more trick, but also reeks of StormCat and his LED everywhere lights.

Wouldn't you want the engine bay lights off while driving at night thus requiring cockpit control?

I've driven mine for years at night with the light on, no problems.
