GT Joey suggest a Detroit Reunion

Well, Im just throwing this out there, but what about a reunion at detroit.
1. THE RITZ IS THE BEST , WE CAN HAVE ALL DAY 3 DAY BREAK OUT MEETINGS.
2. Between , dbk,bony myself, we have AT LEAST 25 workers/suppliers/builders/ team leaders for round table discussions.
3. Our buddies at romeo can give us a day tour, plus most of our builders are still there!!
4. Maybe another local event like woodward to wrap it all together and we have another great event!!:thumbsup
5. saleen for a tour
6. swap meet of gt stuff , auction gt stuff and supplies! a mini sema gt event!!
IM GAME , WHAT SAY ALL OF YOU . COST WOULD BE MINIMAL, LOW KEY EVENT.

Hello,
Well, to be fair, the event needs to move around. Outside of California, the next two large member bases are located in Texas and Florida. We have had our members from Texas and Florida tow, drive to California, Indy, and of course Detroit. In my mind the right thing to do is have a SAFE event in Texas or Florida. Meanwhile, I am waiting for DBK to advise what the status of SEBRING is,.... no news so far. I'm sure with DBK's leadership we will have a great hotel, wonderful eats, drives, and fellowship.

I was just thinking of a separate 'Local to detroit 'thing due to most are in that area and wouldnt have to pay for rooms,travel or leave work. :thumbsup The employees or speakers. Most are job hunting or strapped up there, but would be more than happy to come by.:thumbsup. If we do Rally III in TX I would suggest either March or October to link in the Texas Mile. We could then go to Hennessy's track in Sealy. this would give us time to have a meet in Detroit in August. I would love to go to Woodward again. I don't even need to bring my car.

We'll be doing a race event and a national Rally somewhere not named Detroit next year. Anybody wants to come hang out, we're here. Otherwise, Detroit needs a break. Maybe in 5 years. Everyone from the program is gone, retired, or has moved on with life.

We will attend the GT National Event wherever it is...Margaret,Megan and I. We now have the trailer to use just like last trip to Newport Beach and I just took delivery of my new F-150 yesterday.... Dark Blue and Chrome to match the GT to pull it with.

That being said, I will be on Woodward next year for several weeks before and during the week of the Woodward cruise. If something is set up, you can be assured we will attend that also.

I'd vote for Montreal for obvious reasons. Nova Scotia is on the 'half 'hour and ambient temp is below 50 degress F, not good for tire temps..

i did a rally 3 years ago to niagra falls, it was in the fall and it was a blast(stayed on the canadian side)
great sights, nice driving roads, great locals, casino, prices, and memories to last a life time.
texas would be a long haul for most of us east coasters. jmo

How many GT owners are in Texas?
How many GT owners are in Florida?
We have been to the West where the largest group of owners and forum supporters are.
We have been twice to the Midwest?
Guess we will let you fill in the rest of the blanks.
The Texas and Florida folks have towed or transported to all the venues, how many East Coasters have come to the West and to the Midwest events?
Simple math, no offense intended.... From my stand point I will go where DBK advises where the next event is, costs the same for me to have #1153 transported to Florida, Texas of New England...

Trailered with the Family last summer from Detroit to Scottsdale (thanks Chip) and then drove to Newport Beach.
We will attend next year also.. most any place (Texas or Florida) should be closer...(except maybe Washington State)
The Key will be to try to decide the dates as soon as feasible so we can all put it on our calendars.
