Thanks Bony!

I will dedicate my first "burn-out" to you!!! :banana

If you guys want to have your GT tuned after the install there is a place in North Richland Hills ( Xtreme Horsepower ), that has the "new" Dyno equipment. I am going to schedule some time over there after the work is done.

KCM is a great shop and their Dyno is great for measuring HP. However in my opinion it is not great piece of equipment for tuning our GTs. The equipment doesn't account for the car’s weight and drag co-efficient at higher speeds. This lends itself to A/F mixture problems in real world applications.

Bob Norwood is going to tune mine afterwards. He has a bit of a reputation for making things go fast.

I am also going to take my car over there this week to get a good baseline.

Fubar make sure Bob ties it down correctly..don't let him go by the A-Arms...on most of these Tunes..the Heffner and Accufab there is no adjustment to the system..its burn and go..and I agree KCM doesn't have the software to do a custom program...I'm just not interested in risking getting out of that safe zone.

I agree, I don't want an aggressive tune. I am just nervous about changing the exhaust, pulley and changing to K&N filters, but only tuning for the pulley.

I am going to be looking at the current configuration and try to stay pretty close to that. I know it currently runs rich as a French desert so I may get a little more realistic with the A/F, but nothing aggressive.

I have seen a baseline run on the GT and the A/F is bizarre. I just can’t believe that Ford is putting that much fuel in these things. I want to see what mine is doing. If it really is that rich then I will keep it on the rich side after the mods.

I will try to post the results from the base run tomorrow.

They seem to be just like my viper..rich as pigs...I am probably going to go over to the shop in the next week or so and change my oil..I will do a new run with the exhaust and see what we get with just that tune. I am also going to call Heffner today and see what can be incorporated into their tune since that looks like the pulley I will be going with.

PM sent to GTx. I was out of town last weekend.

Mods for Dallas Owners

I may want to have the safety wiring done, and a transaxle cooler installed. Do I need to purchase all the parts first and have them available?

Thanks,

Brad

Brad give the GT guys a call tomorrow. Its preferable to have them get the parts so we make sure they aren't waiting on anything.
