I noticed a slight slack in the throtle cable behind the gas pedal today. Is this normal or should it be fully tight at all times? The slack allows the bedal to come up higher when not engaged but it seems to be all good and operating. Should I leave it or have it fully tight so there is no play in the pedal? ,:confused

???

I have the same issue. What is needed is that the cable be tight enough to fully opens the throttle blades, but not any more. Too tight puts stress on the cable, too loose will not open the throttle fully. I did play with taking some of the slack out but it pulled too much cable.

Ideally you would have an adjustable cable pull like bicycles have with adjustable stops on the gas pedal for both full on and full off positions.

Thanks hat was exactly what I was thnking. I actually was going to try and micke mouse some sort of clamy under the pedal to take the slack out. I though it would give me more throttle and feel better but at this point, I think I will leave it as is. I agree I wish it was like a bicicle cable and adjustable. I used to work on my own Mini Cooper (1967) and usd to always goof around with that cable to get more power but in the beast its not relevant I guess. Thanks for quick reply.
