Does anyone's GT have a gas pedal cable that is loose? This cause the pedal to have some free play before it moves the throttle blades. The cable length doesn't seem adjustable. I made a spacer that fits between the end of the cable and pedal to take up most of the stack. Changing the pedal action from a dual stage with a long 1st stage to a dual stage with a very short 1st stage.

I was just looking at mine yesterday, it is the same. I too was thinking of using a spacer. What did you use?

One concern I did have, without the spacer (stock) the gas pedal would "bottom out" on the metal bracket at full throttle. With the spacer, full throttle would be reached sooner during the pedal travel. Will you now be putting extra stress on the cable when your pressing the gas hard since the metal stop is farthur away?

INSTEAD OF WASHER PLEASE CALL THE TECH LINE OR FORD , IS YOUR VIN UNDER 890 IN 05 SOME OF THE CABLE ENDS DIDNT CLICK IN ALL THE WAY, HARD TO EXPLAIN, JUST CALL THEM THE WASHER THING IS A RIG, SHOULDNT BE.......BE CAREFUL GTJOEY:thumbsup
