very cool, innovative, and practical. So often, innovation slips through the cracks.

Amazing !! So many benefits over traditional doors.:cheers

Just don't open that door when you're broadside to the wind in a rain storm.

And God help you if it jams, dies, shorts out, or otherwise fails in a partially open/closed position.

No thankum you.

Persnickity Pockets

(This has been posted B4, nth.)(Just for info! :wink :cheers)

Thank goodness for Mr. Half Glass Full... :)
Thank goodness for short skirts...

Probably wouldn't be used in the law enforcement field much either. Pretty hard to use that kind of door for a shield in a gun fight!! :rofl :ack

rocktastic,,,,,

ultimately, the reason why such a door wouldn't be made production is because a door works best when simple, and why the door has worked on a pivoting hinge and lock since the earliest doors created. It hasn't needed any sort of redesign. period. But this definitely was cool ;)

It'll be perfect for SHOW CARS..........

I wonder do they meet side impact standards.

In the door "up" position - yes. In the door "down" position - :ack

I thought the next video was better http://www.snotr.com/video/1308
