DVR set thx!

Awesome!!!

Oh No!

too bad there was such rain. It was raining HARD to stop the race.

I meant "Oh No!" b/c they were doing well until they lost the rear clamshell down the straightaway - probably cost them 15 laps.

This was the first time a race was called because of RAIN @ the Petit Le mans . The Robertson team out qualified the FACTORY teams and that says it all.

I dont know what I am watching I never see any GT's on the track.
Frustrating.

Miserable

Saturday's rain made things miserable. GT was running well but the Vetts did get by. Not sure what the total rainfall was but several inches in a few hours. Pity the poor sobs in the Marathon and Newall coaches by the tunnel. Still stuck Sunday morning.

Our "substitute" Golf Cart Race was stopped in lap 2 on the go-cart track, by Hall County Deputies!! Bummer! A good time was had by all never-the-less! :cheers

Red clay and water don't mix well. If you are in a low spot it's like being stuck in snow.

I noticed in the article that the car is referred to as a GT Mk 7. Where is 5 and 6? Can we refer to our cars as a GT mark 7?? Cool license plate idea.

Pole

This is what a driver looks like after winning the pole for Petit Le Mans.
MK7 is the race version of the FORD GT (post Doran camp).

The "continuation" cars built by Safir in UK in the 1980's were called Mk V.

Not sure what a "Mk VI" is- maybe the 05-06 street GT this forum covers?

Ford had started to register the Mark VI name as an option for the GT, but let the application go dormant.

So, up to VII. On hellova fast Lincoln .............

Mark VI

Technically our GTs are the Mark VI but not officially. Since the Robertson race car is one of our GTs it should also be a Mark VI GT. My license plate reads: GT40 MK6.
