I know this type of thread has pobably been beaten to death on the forum , however the stories are so fun to read I thought I would chime in here by starting a new thread , I could use some good reading as I cant get the car out due to all the rain

Please share your latest interesting experiences with your GT , the public just loves these cars

A nice way to spend quality time remembering our great friend and enjoying the combined beauty of the perfect car and the perfect car enthusiast group.

Daniel would have pleased to see us all enjoying our cars. I bet he was watching over us today.

Still draws a crowd and barrage of questions wherever it goes.

Black and Blue:

Great shot Randy! I was wondering how my car would look like with black wheels and your photo tells me. It is nice, but looks even better on black FGT. :cheers

George's wheels are actually a very beautiful dark blue. I think there is some shadow on the photo.

Looks to me like Atomic GT is putting on a little too much weight.

Dr F.

AtomicGT is on a diet, but I did have two wallets in the vest pockets along with cell phone so I would have to sit on them for the entire run! (But no one had a Kirby Viera moustache on for this one!!!)

Great shots Randy, glad you were able to make it. I know your Saturdays are book until 2015! :cheers

It was just a poor angle shot, Dr. F.

And Atomic, you do know that there are little pockets in front of the GT seats...Even enough room for those that need to carry two wallets of cash around. I'm working on 2 wallet status someday...

Here is another shot of Atomic, which lends credibility to his weight adding wallet claims (no photoshop used)

They day could not have been better, the cars were perfect, the camaraderie was excellent, food great, vistas awesome. It was a nice tribute to our friend, Bony and his memory! The wildflower patches going through Warner Springs were amazing, even got buzzed by a small plane landing at Warner Springs.

Next year, Woboose arranges the over night accommodations, and we all stay for a dining eperience.

Rain! A friend of mine once told me - regarding rain - "those things were built for that you know". Meanwhile I, like you, refuse to take my specialty cars out in the rain :-).

Speaking of interesting experiences with your GT, this past five days my brother and I have been at the Big Bend Open Road Race, I will post some pic's and tell about the race later but in reference to this thread the day before the race there was a car show in downtown Ft Stockton with all 160 cars that were entered in the race. There was no mention of judges or plaques etc.... Then last night at the awards banquest I was surprised with the announcement that my Silver Ford GT won best of show of all the cars and as it turns out it was picked by a "People's Choice" by the people of Ft Stockton who attended the show and I received a nice plaque. As stated above people love these cars !!!

Toys for Tots

Year before last the Vets with Vettes club invited me to participate in their annual USMC Toys for Tots drive which is held at a dealership inside a local mall. For such a cause I could not say no, besides how often do you get to drive inside the mall? I had visions of the Blues Brothers.

A wrapped shoebox with a slit on top was placed near each car with the instructions to vote on your favorite car by placing a donation in the box. I display the winning trophy in my garage.

The Marines/Vets told me that it was their best turnout, and they received more toys and donations than they ever had before. We eventually had to rope off the GT and the Cooksey Z06 because of the crowds (with dangling zippers on their coats). The GT was like a rock star. People would leave and come back with their families just to check it out.

Unfortunately last year the dealership moved out of the mall so we couldn't do it again.

I was invited to a private car show yesterday. I should have borrowed Kumar license plate (FENZO) but those are the things you always remember when it's too late.
