The new GT was at the office today in the design center and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph my '05 GT with the New GT. It's really amazing to see the silhouettes in person. Hopefully, the iphone did them justice showing the similarities and differences. Enjoy!!

Great pics, thanks. Was that writing on the right hand door the names of the future drivers? Looked like it might be three names.

Lucky man!

So what's your impression seeing them literally side by side?

Thanks Dave. I feel pretty lucky. I actually saw the liquid blue GT at E3 the week before. I couldn't really tell then because it was on an elevated, spinning platform, but the new GT is surprisingly short. I thought our cars were short but the new GT is visibly shorter and wider. My impression seeing them side by side is that they are both amazing cars. Our GTs are classic, raw, muscular, and historic. The new GT is refined, agile, sleek, and race bred. You can clearly see the emphasis on aero and finesse on the new GT's vs. the brute force and muscle of ours. Both maintain the silhouettes of the GT40 so the evolution is obvious but the new GT is just a masterpiece in craftsmanship. Not to take away from our cars because they are special in their own right but, the new GT is art. Nothing looks out of place. Every angle, every leading edge, every curve is purpose driven. You could almost see the air flowing over the hood and roof and through the canopy/fusolage even while the vehicle was sitting still. That's what was most impressive to me......the canopy/fusolage. Believe it or not, the canopy/fusolage is most dramatic from the front not the rear of the vehicle. It is really a special vehicle. With that said, my '05 complimented it very well and made me appreciate it even more. Just my thoughts.

No. The liquid silver is just a sled. It doesn't run. They didn't open the doors on this one. I didn't get to see the inside of it.
