ok, I was told that Ford does not make the Key with "Ford GT" on it anymore. Can anyone verify this?

I think that is still valid. Ford will sell you an updated key that doesn't have the logo. It will still function fine. Maybe we all should get new non-logo keys made to use and maybe lose.

You can still get the factory keys with the FORD GT on them. The keys are made by Rotunda not by Ford so they don't have a Ford part number. Rotunda makes all of Fords factory tools and some parts for them. The problem some of you are having getting the keys is because not all dealers have an account with Rotunda to by keys. Dealers don't have to buy for them. Some dealers will buy there keys from aftermarket vendors because they are cheaper. The keys look the same in shape and function, but because they are aftermarket will not have the Ford emblems like the GT key or the Harley truck keys. If your dealer can't get them then just try another dealer in your area that may buy there keys from Rotunda or if you can't find one send me a pm and I will help you get some.
