Ford GT Celebration at the 2015 Carlisle Ford Nationals

#4 Car is Rich Brooks'. A real stunner!

Silver car belongs to Carl from South Jersey. It's a wrap! ( not movie terminology ) Carl says the most difficult wrap he has ever worked with, but it came out great - as his stuff always does. He says he "just keeps messin' around with it".

We had a great time meeting a lot of the GT crowd and so many forum members. Hats off to Lance and his entire staff as they did an outstanding job from start to finish. Thanks to Ken Appel one of his right hand men who was in charge of a lot of the planning and layout . From the entertainment to the awesome dinner and the people.

Thanks
Dominic & Diana

I couldn't agree more, the Rallies are always fun. I wish it wasn't on our Corvette event, I'd be there otherwise.

Cheers,

Lance

Wow, what a weekend that was! I have to say that I had a fantastic time finally connecting with a number of members on here and had such a great experience being around great people and great machines. Thank you all for being some welcoming and for the camaraderie. A few thank you's (too many to list with this little sleep). Yes, I in fact have decided to slow down....a little ;)

Thanks to:

Rich & Denis "The GTGuys" for all of their support and advice, as well as the updates to the car this weekend. For those that didn't see it, I got their cold air kit installed and it certainly picked up a good bit of pep and sounds great!

John Bailey for helping out in shuttling me around as well as for the smiles and good times. As always, the mellow yellow is a stunner!

Carl Mehaffey for driving me around and spending some much time kicking it at the show. The car is built to scare children :)

Gary Jean for always being so supportive and the advice, finally we had our cars in the same place

Rich Hill for being so nice and so laid back, it's ALWAYS a pleasure to see him, his wife and his amazing car

Dino and Jerry for coming up and seeing everyone, and bringing that GT brotherly love!!

Terry and Angelo for all the laughs and Toronto chatter

Tomcat for energy that one day will catch up to my own ;)

Lance and his staff for putting on an amazing event, seriously this guy kept working so much and always had a smile on his face

Joey for all of his passion, energy and time in making sure to chat with everyone

The Robertsons for being so nice and accommodating to everyone who wanted to meet them

Camilo for being awesome on many levels

And to everyone else that I got a chance to meet, you guys ROCK double-horns style \m/ \m/ I took a ton of pictures and I'll make those available soon.

ALSO - I'll be getting a bunch of us together on Saturday, June 20th to come to a local cars&coffee event. Please keep an eye out for that thread and I hope that we can get some great attendance. Right now there are 8 GT's in play for that event, and we may get a few more.

side note - did anyone win anything?

What a great weekend, great to see so many friends! The forecast early last week didn't look good, but weather was very good, only a brief shower Saturday morning. Much to my surprise, we got a 3rd in "modified" class, terry took an appropriate 1st. But from an awards standpoint, we got Lance's celebrity choice award, which we all thought was very cool. We look forward to next year!

I don't know what is making me smile more...
1) The GT owners
2) Getting to see, hear, compare many GTs and their modifications up close
3) Having the GT Guys do my pulley and tune...I'm going to have to plan for new rear tires in the NEAR future!

Really a fantastic event, from start to finish!! Thank you to everyone for your hard work, planning, sharing, hospitality and friendship!!! Even the wives had a blast!!!

You guys have had the GT Guys long enough. Now send them back STAT as they have work to do at the mother ship. :thumbsup

ditto- I need them back here too or for a lot of GT owners to move to Michigan. (did I really say that??) LOL

Great weekend guys. Thanks to everyone. Especially our GT Godfather GTJoey for all he does and how he represents this car. GT Guys great work as always. Lance and Ken did a great job looking after all of us.
Good to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
Rally 10 is going to be out of this world!!

Another FGT (he can reveal if he desires) and I got separated from the parade and got to town before the parade. The main street was roped off and every law enforcement was stationed there in prep for the main street event, so I "tested" my new pulley/tune and he demonstrated the pulley/tune/exhaust while we "hustled" around the relatively empty side streets trying to find the parade...memorable!

It was cool to have a couple of GT40s outside with us. Usually, I'm trying to explain the heritage of the GT. At Carlisle I could say to the kids (and kids at heart), "See how many similarities you can find."

Lee Holman and GT Joey. The banner was autographed by all of the celebrities and auctioned at the Friday dinner, raising $2,500 for the Chip Miller amyloidosis charity.

Made it back to FL. Safe with the GT. Great time, Learned alot about the cars and made some new friends. Great show and hats off to Lance , Ken and his staff. Everyone was very welcoming . I need to make a Rally next.
Thanks, David

Not to jump on the bandwagon but I feel compelled to also show my appreciation to all involved in setting up and ensuring the Ford Carlisle event smoothly. I had no idea what to expect and my anticipation was overwhelming. This event was even better than I expected. I knew I was in for a good time when the first three cars I saw were the 1960's Red GT40, CP-1, and Sonic Blue. Anything after that was bonus and trust me, there was plenty more.

Thanks to GT Joey for being a great MC and bringing his beautiful cars. Thanks to Ken, Brian, and the rest of his staff for organizing and providing security for this event. Thanks to Lance for bringing his beautiful cars and just for being Lance. Thanks for the Robertsons and especially 'H' for all that they have done and will continue to do. Thanks to Camilo for designing this car, signing autographs, and being so accessible. Thanks to the many GT owners that were so welcoming and making this event so memorable. Thanks to Rich and Denis for bringing their car and doing about 14 services.

I particularly enjoyed looking and talking with John about Mellow Yellow, talking with Chris (missed your dad), talking with Guy and his lovely wife, talking with DC DD, listening to Joey and getting his new book (signed by both authors), having Camilo sign my car, talking with 'H' and his trusty sidekick, talking with Lance, talking with Brian as he faithfully watched over our cars, and striking up conversations with many other GT owners.

Thanks again,
Richard and Carol Hill

Love John! His cars not bad either!
