Hello Everyone,

Figured I would make my first thread a good one. I'm a newer owner of a 2006 Heritage Edition car.

Below are some photos of the GTs being unveiled to a select group of people at Ford's 100th Anniversary Celebration in Dearborn at its headquarters in June of 2003. My dad was always a ford loyalist and I bleed Ford Blue. Him and I took the trip to the anniversary, attending all days when I was just a kid.

We aren't anyone special, but happened to be at the museum for an IMAX show that evening when a semi pulled up and the three beautiful cars were started up and pulled out.

Couple photos of the red "concept" car at Ford's celebration and the Chicago Auto Show a few months earlier.

Curious if any members were there as well or if any familiar faces can be seen in the background of the pictures!

Nice! Welcome! Congrats on the new car! 🍻

Welcome and congratulations on your Heritage! Terrific photos- thank you for sharing them. I love the concept car wheel design and Goodyear font. So cool.

Thanks for the pictures. When these were released, I couldn't believe they would actually get built. Just another concept-car tease I thought.

I too love the original 6-spoke wheel and raised white letter Goodyear look.

But that original headlight design is what I really wish made it to production.

I had my rear bumper off almost immediately.

Great memories I bet and you ended up with a fantastic car.

Kip Ewing and Jamal Hameedi standing behind the red car. Looks like the Henry Ford museum.

Great pix! Congrats on your car!

Thanks for the pics and the resultant memories!! Welcome!

I was in attendance for the 100th anniversary event which has to be the most extravagant one I’ve ever attended. Even had a car on display at the event!

At that time, Ford owned a number of brands - if it wasn’t represented at the event, you probably didn’t need it.

Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin ;-))

Your Pinto was on display?

Frank you were even young back then!
What you wish for carried over was the functional brake ducts!
But they can be made functional!
Mine are now
