A one owner 2006 Ford GT with carefully developed improvements. This car has been owned and enjoyed by one person since arriving in the UK in March 2007 with just 1,000 miles recorded. Since then the car has gradually been tailored for more spirited driving and track work. Improvements have been made to braking, suspension, power and the interior all with the purpose of improving the driving and ownership experience. The car has never required any body repairs though the front has been repainted to remove stone chipping. We have a thick history file documenting the cars time in the UK and will be glad to expand on this. The car is in our showroom at Colchester. Please contact David Jones on +44 (0)1206 562800 for further details.

Was this a US transplant, or one of the European/English cars?

This was a US registered car originally, not one of the 101 Official European cars.

Congrats to the new owner!
I see the car has functional brake ducting.I too did the same thing .Well not me the Gt guys . What are the air inlets for in the lower front facia?

We added those to increase the flow to the whole cooling pack. The customer was running the car on track at Spa in Belgium with high ambients and seeing higher coolant temps than normal. We upgraded both fans to Spal units and added those extra openings.

Dave

I am not familiar with what the Spal units are.Can you tell me if the mod actually worked?

We used the VA13-AP70/LL-63A - you can see the info here:
http://www.spal-usa.com/fans/automated/highperformance_13_curved.html

We found a definite improvement in flow over the stock Ford fan whilst the trade off is there is more noise - as you'd expect.

Dave

Interesting, especially for those who are able to drive the GT faster for longer times (than a quarter mile race :) )

Are the specs for the original fan known ?
How much noise increase do we speak about ?

Matthias

Cool thanks. The GT Guys put a racing radiator in my GT .It was a significant improvement .We also run Evans coolant which reduces engine head temp

Hello! Happy new owner here, it was great to see the Ford GT's at GT101 and I'm looking forward to collecting my new car, she's a beast.

The car will be moving North to Aberdeen, Scotland. I will be making plans to drive it to Le'Mans next summer and possibly the Italian lakes later this year, can't wait.

Graham

Very nice! I think you may be our first Scottish member.

Congrats Graham. You're going to love everything about your new GT. Post some pictures of your adventures, would love to take a look.
