The only thing in my mind that is almost as cool as a clutched on/off Road Warrior supercharger sticking up through the hood (haven't figured out for the GT, will leave that to Fubar) is flames out the exhaust. I was able to get my wish on video:

Love the flames !

Also Cool. :thumbsup

that was a good one too. I've found mine will do it pretty good on BIG 4th gear pulls (letting off in 4th). You need to get a GoPro and stick it to your bumper to catch the sounds and flames. :)

Have never seen any flames from my FRPP Rear Exit Header exhaust, but I continually have to clean black soot from around the exhaust tips and bumper....

I don't ever recall seeing it from your car but I guarantee if you wind that thing up and let off the gas it'll blast out of that system pretty big.

Can the flames cause damage to the rear bumper?

There was not any noticeable heat transfer to the bumper.

My GT with FRPP headers never belched fire either. Isn't that also related to your tune and leaving some unburnt fuel in the exhaust? I thought for sure the 40 with the big sloppy Holley750 DP would blow flames as well but doesn't seem to either. Maybe lack of driving skillz hmmm lol. I agree though I always wanted some fire to come out the back to just put the whole experience over the top. There used to be a cool video of Chris A's GT on so cal speed zone blowing some huge flames passing a Lambo...

It is too bad I didn't catch a video of it, but when my cousin ran the Mojave Mile during the FGT event, I clearly saw over 2' flames shooting out when he lifted at the end of the mile. Pretty impressive too see it in bright sunlight! I guess my tune wasn't too lean. :lol

bad ass

Late to the game but here's a picture of mine on the Thunderhill back straight.

Too bad he didn't blow himself up in the process...

Craig used to tape hotdogs to his back bumper and cook them while he drove.

The flames are a result of a tune that leaves to much fuel on the deceleration function. It can deffinately cause damage. My rear bumper was lightly toasted around the exhaust ports. I have seen one GT that had the rear bumper catch on fire (I do not know if it was just decel tune or other issues). I had my tuner lean out the decel portion of the tune but I missed the fireworks so I subsequently had him add a little sideshow back in.

This video was from the Heffner/pulley version of the tune.

Sounds like one more argument for a bumper delete. :biggrin
