I post this knowing this a family friendly site, which allows truly annoying , boasting threads.

Jr. ( he hates that almost as much as posts like this) won his first professional golf tournament on the mini tour in a playoff Greensboro (Sedgefield) shooting 68, 69 and 68.

Sadly, he won't be buying any GTs soon, but it gives his primary sponsor (me) hope.:wink

Being a proud dad and bragging about your kids is perfectly acceptable. Congratulations.

Congratulations.

Congrats!

Nice! Any time you can get paid $1 or more to compete in a sport, you are living the dream!

Very true and further proof there is nothing to genetics. In my 30s , many years ago I played golf till I was tired and never broke 80 and that was from tees much closer to the hole than where pros play.

My back up plan is to have him hustle 60 year olds at our club.

That is awesome. Hoping he continues to gain confidence and momentum and turns this into a life long successful career.

Thanks, guys for indulging me and the nice comments.

Last night he was home for dinner and I told him a lot of folks commented on his win to which he replied, " just don't tell me you didn't put it on one of you car forums." Nice.

Very cool and congratulations! A big day for both of you. All the best for the future for sure.

AWESOME!!!!!
Does he give lessons??

This is a car forum?? LOL Nice numbers there GTD! You must be a very proud dad!

Great Job, He is living the dream.

When he is ready send him down to Texas and we will put him up and he can play the Adams Tour. Little bigger paychecks and higher entry fee's. Those type scores will earn him more money here.
My son's first pro event is in Lufkin Texas in July. He wants to defend his amatuer title he won last year in Austin on the 4th. of July before he makes the leap. He won one of the longest standing amatuer tournaments in Texas. Names on the trophy include Kite and Crenshaw.

I totally understand about sponsoring since I am Logans only one so far.
I hope you both are enjoying this time. He could be having to work 8 - 5.

Great Job and keep up the hard work, it does pay off.

Larry:

Congrats on Logan's success. Extremely impressive. I hope he is the next Spieth.

Mitch plays several tours, many of which have significantly higher prize money than this one-- but a win at any price, particularly with a tough field, helps.

Good luck.
