Being a first timer we were a little apprehensive about being accepted into a group that have known each other for years. That only lasted about 5 minutes at the bar when Chip introduced himself and several other members to Donna and me. Within 15 minutes Dennis,GtGuy, had me in the parking lot showing me different setups and answering questions. Everone we talked to was very friendly and willing to share knowledge and stories. It was nice meeting new friends and hope to know everyone better in the coming years. Next Rally I will not be a "wimp" as described by HiloDave and bring my car and participate in track time. A special thanks to Dave who put this together and made us feel welcome and Andy ,Specracer, who took us both on the track and showed us what a GT was built for!! Perfect first Rally and a great learning experience.

That makes three of us newbies that fully enjoyed our first GT Rally. I met so many wonderful people that I now consider my friends and I hope I'll be able to make it to more rallies. Dave and everyone else involved in setting up this rally, you did an absolutely wonderful job of putting on this rally. Everything worked just like clockwork. I didn't even spin off the track once, that's got to be worth something. Dave it was obvious even to the casual observer that you spent a lot of your personal time making this event such a wonderful experience for all of us. Thanks to everyone involved in setting up this rally for all your time and efforts!!!!

As a moderator and one who has attended all 7 rallies, it is always so cool to meet new owners who have joined the fold and have an opportunity to drive this truly special car. It was great to see all the old friends and meet many new ones. Hope you new folks become "old" folks and keep on coming out!

Tim, I enjoyed meeting you also. I hope to be able to attend more rallies since this rally was such great fun and I was surrounded by such wonderful people.

Yes - these are always great events...Margaret and I have been to all seven ...each better that the previous...I really liked this track...it was nice for those of us who are not experts... Nice to meet all the newbees and the old guys too...
Those listed above and Joe my track partner and John (Wwabbit) our air ace too.

Kurt--back in Detroit yet.?

Dave --another great one...thank you.

Andy (AJB)

The car that is the foundation of this is truly amazing. But it is the people that set it apart. Maybe I can have my son do a college paper on why it seems that this certain car attracted a group of very incredible people. LOL

Most of you know that I sold my GT a few months ago, so I was nervous that I would not be as welcome as before to Rally 7. Several reason why I sold and I look forward to my next one that will be yellow. I talked with Dave and he reminded me it is the people that is the glue that holds this group together. I was never disapointed with the reception I recieved. New friendships made, and old friendships renewed. Did miss getting to see Sanjay and Mullet and had really hoped to meet FUBAR for the first time. Guess I will have to go to Dallas for that. Now I have to start planning for Rally 8 with or without a GT.

It was great to meet Jerry, Kurt, and Larry. Hope to see you nest year !!

To "To Awsum"

I could certainly tell it was a blast for you because every time I was out on the track I distinctly remember the "Awsum" tag during each session. Andy took great care of us during this Rally as the instructor and keep our cars heading in the proper direction. Thanks Andy!!

Haha, you kept reading my tag probably because you had to keep passing me. Hopefully, I didn't slow down your laps too much. It was really beneficial to have an instructor riding with all us novices. Brent Mosing was my instructor and he was very good. When I first read your thread I thought you were going to say you could tell I was having a good time by counting the bugs sticking to my teeth. I had a great time. It couldn't have been a better event IMHO -- great times with great people.

I will be back next year,,, I acually hope it is out west so I can fly & ship the car... as the 17 hour drive was way overated.... What a blast and what a great bunch of guys...
