I've had my GT since April and finally. Yes after 7 months decided to take her for a spin :). WOW. Ned I say more. Smooth and civil but an absolute smooth and fast rising beast when you let her loose. "That is one F....ing gorgeous car" is what one guy shouted as I pulled to a stop light!!

You "timid", I think not.

Waiting for a sunny day, I'd believe that.

Fear of your driveway, I'd believe that.

Waiting for the new bp meds to work right, I'd believe that.

For me:
Day one drove it in the rain.

Day two drove it in the snow.

Day seven first oil change @ 1,001 miles.

Day eight 150+ miles @ racetrack.

All the other days :biggrin

Be careful -GTs are addicting. One ride leads to another, and another and so on...:thumbsup

I drove mine 1000miles in the 1st week !!!
I now have 22k and have enjoyed every mile !
Can't wait to take her out for a couple of hours on Sunday!!
Driving the Gt is the reward of ownership .
The experience of driving the Gt on the track, that's the real prize!!
Is it time for Rally 6 yet ???

I waited mostly because of time commitments and other more maintenance unfriendly vehicles consuming my free time. A friend of mine who has been behind the wheels of many "dream" muscle, high performance, and exotic cars - he includes a Ferrari 250 GTO in his stable - told me that very few cars give him a "thrill" to drive. He said that Ford GT is one of them!
