Final Ford GT Sales #?

And PS, there are very, very few Midnight Blue cars left at all.
As of Saturday, there were 5 or less yellow cars left in the country.:biggrin

OK, one of them good'ole boy dealers just emailed that 200 recorded sales occured in Dec so far!!!

We un-officially agreed here that ~200-250 GT are in inventory; which this (high volume SVT) dealer confirmed.

"however in Dec Ford has recorded over 200 sales! This is the end of an era.
Thanks "

In Nov we had 261 sales; so Dec might blow out all of the "NEW" cars for good.

It probably is. I'm guessing maybe 50 or so cars will end up sitting on dealer lots permanently. Not that eBay proves anything most of the time, but there are only 10 cars on there right now listed with under 25 miles. I can recall when it was routinely in the 70-75 car range.

On New Years Eve, you have to post the final # b/c I know you know.

.

Even the final number is wrong. The reporting of dealer sales is off. Way off. I got the list directly from SVT of remaining cars, and when searching for a specific color, a number of the dealers had sold the car. So inventory levels are quite literally going to be a guess from here on out.

So any guess on what effect if any this will have on prices?

Of course there arn't any updated 07's coming out to drive down the prices on new or used.

just awesome cars.no car has ever stirred me like the gt,it must be love!..........

Two of the best.....

You are my hero Midnite Blu!!!

I've been saying for months that, if I had my druthers (read: space and patient wife) I would add a heritage to the fleet, and then use the Midnight Blue for upgrades (whipple, exhaust, etc.) and drive the %&@* out of it (I'm already at 7,000 miles). The Heritage would essentially get bubbled and serve as a sleep aid (i.e. "What if something happens to my blue GT?! -- Oh yeah, I've got a back-up reserve. Now off to slumberland.").

So, any heritages out there waiting for a home??

On second thought, don't tell me if you know.

Either way, glad I got mine when I did. I suspect the market will get very interesting on these cars in the coming months...

Multiple FGT's

I about fainted when I saw that beautiful picture of a blue and a Gold/Sliver GT together. Awesome picture.

Intersting sidenote: I live in the middle of nowhere where almost no one has neat cars. I have a 2005 blue Ford GT. My development has 80 homes. I was told our new neigbhor had three GT's! Yeh right I said to myself. Well he does.:willy

He has a red everyday driver and a two cars he bought for investment. He says he can get $500k in Japan for the Cars.

Mine is a keeper.:banana

People used to buy and sell investment homes to pay for a house.

I guess with an extra GT or two, you can sell a car or two and use the proceeds to buy a home.

:)

I wish I could say your neighbor could get even half of what he hopes. It would be great. We are in a world market, everyone has a computer and knows the price of everything. If I can buy a new car at window or less, so can a gent in Tokyo or Moscow.

Where can we find the exact # of each color and year GT built? I'm sure it's on this site but can't find it... DBK???

Now there is some debate about the export #/sales. They have been included in sales #s since Sept, however, not broken out per month. So, given they will never be in a US dealership, I am excluding them. There will be some double counting, but it will back out at end.

Kayvan, I can tell you the exact number of all cars Ford has on record as still available for sale: 168. So on paper at least, 4% of the production run is still out there according to the numbers I got from SVT today. But like I said, many of those cars may or may not be legitimately for sale. I'd probably whack that in half because some will sit in dealers asking 300k just for showroom traffic/the hope someone will walk in and say "screw it", or cars dealers are content to ultimately keep for themselves.

As for the colors, as Chris posted, you can find the colors. However, the option breakdowns are not 100% correct until further verified. They are possibly correct. There is a reconciliation process going on between what was on the order, how it was built at SSV, and how it ultimately left Wixom.

Now we got SVT confirmation that 168 GT were available on Feb 1.

So, with 169 Sold, that leaves -1 GTs, so watch your garages!

ps, Autotrader charges $20 for 3 week listing, so assume stalenes & sales report lag

Translation: Whats on autotrader are all dealer toys OR there ALL GONE.

2006 Ford GT's

By going to Ford Dealer locator on line as a Ford Dealer ,there are 115 2006 NEW Ford GT's in dealer inventory. Wheather they are for sale or not I can not determine. Again these are 2006 MODELS ONLY as 2005 have been removed from locator records. Those dealerships represent every region in the US and including Hawaii which is in the California region. These dealerships are tracked from closest to my Dealership 18 miles to farthest from my dealership 3918 miles in Hawaii. These numbers are as of 3:45 pm Texas time 3-1-07. When these GT's are reported sold by dealers on internet to Ford Motor Co. daily they are taken off Fords Locator List. Thats the best I can Do!:banana :banana TGH PS. Southwest Region (Texas & Oklahoma) total 2006 GT's = 10 Get yours today there going FAST!:thumbsup
