FGT Motor in a Ultima GTR?

Alex, it sounds like a great option. I am guessing it will be stronger and shift faster than the stock box with the only downside it that it will be noisy and clunky when shifted. Is this correct? Is it going to have sequential shifting? Is is based on the stock Ricardo case?

Yes it should be able to handle more torque than the stock transaxle.
And be shifted with out a clutch (like a motorcycle).
Just lift and up-shift.
Down shift with out the clutch requires a well practiced heal-toe.
(Could always use the clutch or do a half clutch down shift)

There will also be less system friction. And less heat generated.

I personally like the sound of gear noise.
How loud or will it be annoying on the highway? Only time will tell.

Manta has Lines of a McLaren M8 Series

Those photos on the Manta Site bear a strong resemblance to the lines of the McLaren M8 series Can Am cars. We used to pit right behind them on occasion, and the M8E was an unbelievable piece of art.

The ultima looks like a kit car from the 70s called a manta. Any relation? It is also the exotic car that was stolen in the original Gone in 60 seconds.

Putting our motor in any car would be ok. The thought of putting an LS into our car that is sacriledge.
