Lose the muffler, Gary. Get the rear exits. If you get the LTH's, you'll sound like a lawyer's car. Yeeesh;)

Go big or go home! I don't know why I have to go big in increments. The lawyer's car sounds good. Yours sounds better...in small doses. Not sure I'd enjoy days of traveling with it though. It may take a few more years of hearing loss. :)

Decisions, decisions. It is good you were able to hear both systems. They both sound very nice, with the nod going to the rear exit headers for the full-on race car song. Keep in mind that with your bumper delete, rear exit headers will require surgery to shorten the length of the tips, whereas you already have the shortened tips for the Borla. You can always drive my car to see if you like it. However, I will caution you that once you have blue, it is very difficult to go back to red.

Modding in small increments usually translates into more money. Trial and error inevitably cost more due to parts, and sometimes more significantly if you're not a DIY'er, the labor. Always try to do everything right the first time if at all possible.
Honestly, as been said by others with a lot more miles with this system than myself (i.e. Ralphie), the headers are quite docile at highway cruising speeds, so long distances are really not an issue. I could see it maybe being a hassle if you drove it in a lot of stop and go, but nothing that a little short shifting before 2500 RPM's can't remedy. SSRob was my copilot for treasure hunt. He bought Anders' headers system but wasn't sure he wanted to install them. After that day, it was a done deal. If I knew you were interested, I would have taken you out for a spin, or better yet, let you drive it.

:agree: with everything said. From the inside of the car if you are not over 2500 and less than 1/3 throttle the noise isn't that bad. I would say in many respects less annoying than the FRPP cat deletes into a Y pipe that I had (those drone). However at WOT above 4000 RPM that's a different story.

Ed Sim's car is almost as loud as the FRPP system and it wasn't so loud that I couldn't sleep while Ed was carving up the highways. I never notices if it was too loud or not, except for when Ed rev it to say hello to other owners on the road.

As for doing everything right the 1st time, if you are looking for power upgrades, then skip the Pulley and tune and go for a Whipple or TT depending on your preferences and whether you need to pass a smog test where the TT will fail. Whipples are CARB approved! :thumbsup

Another typo are instead of car.

Also I would say that Ed Sim's exhaust is also musical and must of been playing Brahms during the rally! :lol

Special Ed's car is on another level yet. Hennessey engine and more unburned hydrocarbons coming out the pipes than a refinery flare stack. :lol

Clinton...I'm not looking for more power (at this point). My car came with pulley/tune/Accufab TB and I'm happy. Headers for looks (coolest things this side of a bundle of snakes) and sound.

I guess this thread is thoroughly hijacked. What was the topic?

I'll answer for him since he can't even remember his screen name, much less reply to threads.

Hope that wasn't splattered with love bugs. I can't breathe here without inhaling them.

Ed and I have a special relationship; he answers forum posts for me and I throw the middle finger to people that diss him on the streets!

BTW, I did answer--but I think it was in another thread...I so RA-tarded

No love bugs up here yet. They usually relegate themselves to the cow-towns.

Unfortunately, I need an enforcer as this happens quite often. What was that one guy driving that flipped me off trying to pass that car? A Prius or something equally as emasculating?

We took our motorcycles up the West coast a couple years ago. Coming out of Sacramento we passed an older woman in a Prius festooned with all the requisite bumper stickers: coexist, world peace, be happy, I haven't had sex since Carter was President, blah blah blah. As we passed she proudly gave all of us the one finger salute. I wanted to cap her, but my son was with me and I thought it might set a poor example.

She's unhappy, you're happy. Life is good.
