Last month I decided to sell my 2005 Blue GT, after a few days I knew that I had made a mistake. I sold the 05 to Elite Autos, Shelby offered a fair price and was very easy to work with. When I saw he had a very low mile 2006 I contacted him and ended up buying it from him, again he was a complete professional throughout both transactions.

Thanks,

Tom

You guys are all nuts! :lol

How many guys is that now that have sold their GT and ended up buying another within a month? We even had one guy buy back the same car.

:cheers

If that isn't a testament to the love of 'this' car I don't know what is.

I tried to get my car back but was to late. Don't sell!!!

Thanks for everything Tom! You were also a pleasure to deal with as well. I think this make 3 different FGT owner who I have now Bought from and then sold them NEW FGT cars. I must admit, all my FGT owners are the nicest bunch of guys I have come across.

Delivered FUBAR's new GT to his father about 30 minutes ago. Its on a 400 mile trip back to DALLAS TX!

Come on Tom, dont say DONT SELL, just tell them to trade them to me and try a different Color!!! :thumbsup

Funny, I wrecked a black and silver one so I could buy a blue and white one. I just picked the Blue GT up from Shelby. I hope you took good care of her.

Confirming.....

......what I have said on more than one occasion about the investment value of this car. The nasty little detail that makes the Ford GT absolutely worthless as an investment. The GT is not worth a dime as there is only one way to get somebody to give you a check for it. You have to give them the car!! :willy You have to stand by your open garage door and watch somebody else drive it away, FOR GOOD! :frown But that's not even the end of it. Every morning, as you open the door to your daily driver, you have to look over at the space in your garage where your GT formerly resided. On those rare occasions when you see one on the street, all you can say to whoever is with you is that, "I used to have one of those." And then, the final crushing blow. Your departure from the brotherhood. The fortunate 3000 some odd custodians of the greatest car the Ford Motor Company has ever built. The history, the race victories, the build team, and the notation next to your screen name on the best automobile Forum that exists, "GT Owner". My yellow GT is priceless and my yellow GT is worthless. That's my take on it.

I had to read it 3 times... Poetry!

It could be the Rally III Banner. Our GT secret oath!!!

For the "BECK TRUEISMS ", I sometimes feel the need to send him money for the advise. This FORUM has its own Shrink! Love ya man. TGH

Yeah...I log on at least twice a day to have my spirits uplifted by you guys.

Even though the GT is in the Garage, Stabil in the tank, the batter tender plugged into the cigar lighter and fully covered, IT STILL MAKES ME SMILE EVERYTIME I WALK OUT INTO THE GARAGE.

FUBAR, Not the same car. I sold Tom's car to a guy in Washington.....

Such wisdom could only come from a man with impeccable taste in all things mechanical. Let's face it, his avatar says it all-FGT, big block Kirkham, Shelby GT, Harley Davidson and I think I saw a Triumph Bonnie in there too.

wow chip
you brought tears to my eyes
i'm now going down to the garage and going to hug my hibernating red/white
boohoo--boohoo !!!!

Yeah, I sold my yellow GT to shelby for a lambo. Shelby has perfect cars, and VERY FAST delivery!

I agree, Chip has, again, written poetry...in motion.

I do, however, possess a different view on the "worthless" characterization. I don't believe any of us remotely feel that our FGTs are of no worth, value, use, importance and are good for nothing. Au contraire, our gals are of considerable worth and we certainly don't have to sell it to thoroughly enjoy their worth. In fact, many of us never will and have received the greatest value of all.

That would be me, I sold by Heritage to Shelby and bought it back a week later. I love that car!
