Anyone here brave and skillfull enough to do a DIY Gurney Bubble? Just cutout your door's roof in the right location, spot weld this in place, then finish up the body work and paint. Easy right? I think it would be easier to call the GTguys. I don't know anything about this ebay listing or seller. Buy and USE at your own risk!

If I had four gt's and one of them had 100,000 miles and was breaking down every other day, because it was a salvaged car, and when they repainted it they didnt quite get the color to match right, and the interior was about to fall apart , I still would try this on my own on this car:biggrin

Believe the GTGuys had one installed...

Yup, they did mine... perfectly, I might add.

Gurney Bubble

I knew Saleen did the mod but I wasn't aware the GT Guys did it also. Do you just send the door to the GT Guys? Saleen told me they need the car so they can paint match since they paint the entire door & replace the side stripe on the door & car. What's the cost? Saleen also said you have to be careful as welding the bubble on can distort the door enough to where it won't seal properly along the roof.

Paid $4k to THE GT GUYS and they swapped my door out and matched the stripe.
Did it in Scottsdale.
I am 110% happy...
MAKERS for Dennis and Rich!

I'm glad I am short.

I sent Saleen my door and they did it on my door and sent it back. Paint match was perfect, and they only painted the top part of the door. Fit was also quite good. Very happy.

GT GUYS paint match was perfect, I paid $4k and Dennis and Rich are still happy to serve our team... exactly who did you deal with at Saleen.... are they still there? Ted who? :)
