Different perspective - pictures of the car

Lance, Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos and comments! And thanks for being such a great host at this year's 2009 All Ford Nationals.

We hope to see you next year at the "T" building!

I dig all the colors, and have on good authority that they're all the fastest....:biggrin

Great Theory...Makes sense to me:thumbsup

Wonderful story and a beautiful car.....and to think I had the pleasure of knowing Bob Grossman for so many years, but never got the chance to appreciate him for what he was.

Thank you Lance for making me remember the good old times I had with him, and thank you for the great pictures.

Gino

Lance, Great story. I love the 1960 photo. Taking it back to France would be quite an adventure. Also, great proof that a Ford guy can also appreciate a corvette!

Commitment.

.......it was a dream my father had and since his passing (5 years ago) I'll make sure to follow through.

Lance,

Well done. A fine tribute to your father. He lives on through your efforts.

Chip

Lance, Great photos.

I love your taste in cars.

Have fun at Bloomington.

Although mainly a Corvette guy at heart, we do have another Ford in the family (since the early 70's):

Gino-

I met Bob a couple of times, great person & an extremely successful race driver! Heck, he WON LeMans with infamous John Fitch as his co-driver.

Very cool you knew him well.

Sincerely,

Lance

I see it had the Rochester mechanical fuel injection. I worked on one those many years ago. Nice.

Very nice collection, Lance. Corvette is extraordinary...share with us the provenance.
Might be nice to see the collections of others, too. I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

Paul,
You say that to all the guys !!!
Give a ring now your back !

Beautiful. Slabsides rank right up there with GT40s. Impressive collection of cars. Although I'll never own a real slabside, I hope to have a Kirkham one day.

Both the Slabside & the Kirkham are awesome machines! It's a vehicle that is timeless and will always have an incredible history... hmm, sound familiar to the GT? :thumbsup

Cheers,

Lance

Lance's blue Cobra has Shelby's California mfr plate 13 on it. :thumbsup
