This is great . You are a lucky man. I always wanted to buy my dad a car, but he passed away before I was in a position to do it. Count your blessings. Happy birthday to your dad.

The restoration is finally complete on "Snowball"
After presenting the Birthday Starliner to my dad I had to break the news to him that I needed to take the car for a "few" months to perform a restoration so that this car would be just as he remembered it back in 1961. This restoration started at the end of September 2012 and came to completion just a couple of weeks ago (7 month project :facepalm
as this car fought us in every way possible but we finally finished the restoration and the name "Snowball" seamed so fitting as things always seamed to snowball out of control. We attended our first local car show this past weekend of about 400 cars and Snowball took one of the top prizes "Best Ford of show" and I must say we were all extremely happy that the car got its due. Dad and I spent a ton of quality time together working on this project as did a good friend of mine (Tim Davis who is truly the brains of the operation) and this time I will keep in the memory bank until my last breath. Here are a few pictures of the journey.

Great story and pictures of the build. What a beautiful piece fo ART for your dad. The story can't and won't end here! How wonderful is this. Thanks. I'm sure you wouldn't take for this togetherness. Many of us whose fathers left us at an early age would love to trade places with you Pe2unia. He're hoping it last for many, many more years. Tomy
