Definitive Wheel and Tire Thread with Pics

two pages and only one post with pics...I know more people here have GT's with non-factory wheels...

....if you do the calculations on a slide rule, you'll really impress the crowd.........

OK. On my way to the antique store to buy one.

Here is a photo to show that the offset are the correct offsets.....

Since this thread has gone almost 2 pages without 1 pic, I will be the first.
CCW T10 wheels. 20 rear, 19 front. Michelin PS2 335/30/20 rear, 265/30/19 front.

How do they perform against our stock Goodyears? What wheel width and offsets are these?

Thanks for posting.

I saved a couple from the '60s for when judgement day for all calculators occurs. Can I loan you one?

The Michelin PS2 tires are FAR better than the Goodyears. Night and day difference on traction and actually ride better IMHO. :thumbsup

Tires

If there is a Pirelli PZero Corsa System tire of 265/40/18 then a combination can use a 345/35/19 using stock wheels. This combination has an ABS ration of 8.2 vs 9.8 of the stock Goodyear tires.:cheers

Does the 265/40/18 exist? Tire Rack does not show it.

Someone here must have a contact with Pirelli that can confirm if this size is available from any Pirelli source.:thumbsup

Thanks.

Jim

Old post but here are some pics of the GT with CCW T10's, painted black. 20's in the rear, 19's in the front. I will check the sizes tonight.

Tires

I have been looking for the Pirelli Corsa solution for the stock wheels. I was refered to Bob Woodman, a Pirelli race tire dealer. After several weeks and discussions with Pirelli, here is his best take on their situation.

They are not making Corsa's at this time. There are only a few world wide and none for our cars. He is being told that they won't be producing them till "the end of the year".

The search continues.

tblackj, that is both sinister and gorgeous at the same time. Well done!

I just got a set of Bridgetstone REO50A/REO50A Scuderia (Enzo rear tire) in 265/40-18 and 345/35-19's. They fit perfect and ride better and quieter than the Goodyears. And the wider rears make the car look even more agressive when viewed from behind. I won't be able to put the car through its paces this week so I can't comment how good these tires are, but if they are good enough to be the Enzo's OEM tires, they should be pretty damn good for agreesive street driving. More driving impressions and pictures will follow.

Are these tires mounted to the stock sized rims? I look forward to your full updated report.
