Many of you have expressed an interest in a thread for posting pictures of Panteras and for sharing information about them. This is a place for GT owners who share a passion for Panteras as well.

gtinmyblood's 1974 Pantera GT5

Here are some pictures of my Pantera as requested. I bought the car in 1996 out of Atlanta. It had tons of rust so we started over.

I bet the 180degree headers and the borlas sound awesome.:cheers

work of art:)

beauty:thumbsup

The fellow that got a bit of a write-up a few years back in Car and Driver, Road & Track, etc.... for continuing on across the finish line at the Silver State classic in his Pantera....even though he was about 1/2 engulfed in flames lives in SoCal.:eek

He built up another Pantera with, from what I understand, donations from the local Pantera club. His current ride is very capable from what I have seen.

Nice enough guy too.

Charred Pantera

That was Dennis Antenucci of Team Pantera Racing. He crossed the finish at 170+ MPH with flames shooting out the back of the car. He had rubbed a brakeline and brake fluid had ignited on the headers setting the car ablaze. He won the 160 MPH class. The car burned to a crisp. AMAZING! He did indeed build again.

Gtinmyblood's first fire video

Here is a video on youtube of the second time we fired it up. We had put some heat in it before and done some tuning to get it to run right. This will give you an idea anyway. It actually sounds way better in real life.

At the end is a short bit of my Corvette GT1 car.

BMF,

The tail fin reminds me of Dave Adler's car "Whiplash" which was a Detomaso factory race car. The guy who drew that car you are referring to "Laslo" has done several Panteras and is really talented as a designer. I think he's in the netherlands somewhere.

sweet !! she sounds awesome !!

"If Mad Dog, aka Dennis Antenucci of Huntington Beach, Calif., lifted at all, wasn't much. According to Sean O'Leary, the man holding the radar gun at the finish line, "He blew by at 170-plus. On fire." Distracted, he didn't get a good reading. All he could do was whirl and watch the burning bullet streak on to the shut-down area and the next human beings-and fire extinguishers-in sight, a long Nevada mile away."

:eek What a story, and what a shame to have seen his car destroyed....

Your Pantera looks fabulous, art on wheels.... :cheers

Thats a nice !!
The front trunk makes our GT'S trunk look spacious

Very nice indeed. I'll dig around later and scan/post some pics of my old Pantera, but it sure doesn't compare to yours...

Nice job on the updates and mods.
