I had these made for my standard wheels, unfortunately they are still at powder coat getting a shiny coat of gloss black I know I know I had black wheel before and didnt like them but they were flat black, and altough I contemplated other colors, I always revert back to black, so I cant post pics with them on the wheels and I wont get the wheels back before the rally:thumbsdow so here are a few pics, the center caps still need to be sprayed with clear coat.

WOW! I am paying attention now:eek I can't wait to see them on the rims. I just posted pics with gloss black rims and stock caps but I would really like to see these complete and on the car. Is there any chance this could be a product we could buy through your vendor?:cheers What lug nuts will you be using?

Thanks for the post, and let me see if I understand how these new caps work.
They look like they are threaded on the back I guess to thread into the wheel without using the 3-wing chrome plastic under piece. Thus the silver wheel portion under the 3-wing is now visible as are the lug nuts.
Same question as posed above, what lug nuts are you proposing to use and I would guess this would be for standard wheel owners who have their wheels painted over the factory silver as my wheels appear to have paint markings on the wheel made by the 3-wing plastic piece which would not look very good if that piece was now omitted.
Guess the pictures when you get it installed will help orient.
Thanks...

yes you are correct, it would eliminate the plastic center all together and the inside and the lug nuts will be exposed, I plan on finishing a set of lug nuts in the same manner as the center caps, a machined finish. they get screwed in and there is a tool that comes with these that if one wishes with the wheel off you can tighten the centers from behind at to prevent people from taking thim off the car.:thumbsup

very nice, can't wait to see them.

Who wants caps??????

I talked to Nick (maker of the original caps) today as he is interested in having more center caps made for us as a group buy. He did say that he must get at least 3 sets before moving further and it is going to be about $400 each. If we get more people to commit to purchase the price could go down based on how large this number is. Nick is located in Texas and things are happening pretty slow from the hurricane but his business is still operational but lacking some manpower. If anyone wants a set of these caps please PM me with you information so that Nick and I can finalize the number.

Center caps group buy!!!!

I have only received a couple of responses on the center cap group buy:frown Is anyone else interested? If not it will be a no go:ack Please PM me if interested.

pe2unia I already got mine but you might want to talk to Doctorv8 I believe he may want some and Im sure there are others on the site that would be interested. there was another thread that someone else started and it got some attention so you may want to do a search for it and contact some of those people, personally I think the stock centers on the standard wheels are :ack.

:cheers

I got a call from my powder coat guy that my wheels are ready to pick up I will be picking them up tomorrow and the centers should be ready by then as well. Once I post some pics of them on the wheel I think we may get a bit more response, so lets wait a while I think we can get enough people interested, :thumbsup

My original center caps have discolored - a kind of white around the rim thing. So these would make a dramatic improvement.

Are there any photos with these caps installed?

Thanks
