Great race.

#15 GT350R-C Billy Johnson/Scott Maxwell takes the win, missing the car's rear bumper.
#158 GT350R-C Jade Buford/Austin Cindric holds on in a nail biter to finish second under heavy pressure from Nismo 370Z and a Z28.

Exciting stuff start to finish. The extra 50 lbs they saddled the GT350s with didn't seem to hurt too bad. Multimatic Motorsports and Ford Performance with two victories in a row.

Way to go!

Hopefully a throwback to the Boss 302 Trans Am Championships.

What kind of times were they running? I was there a few weeks ago with a Ford Racing product.

Both GT350R-Cs best was 57.7 in race conditions.

That's a nice time. A mustang feels pretty heavy on that track.

I missed it on Fox by a few minutes but now I'm watching the Northeast Grand Prix on Fox1 also at Limerock.
After the "S's" they are not running the normal "uphill."
Which course did the GT350R-C run?
Normal course with blind uphill or "bear right" ?

I recorded it yesterday. (Hosting a Baptism for my niece.) Will watch tonight!

"An engine specialist from Roush Yates racing - who we’ll call “Charles”, because his name was Charles - told me that they take the same 5.2 liter, flat-plane crank Voodoo V8 that is in the upcoming street GT350 and simply bolt on a dry sump oil tank before they drop it in the race car. If so, that is one hell of a motor."

BTW, why didn't the factory just make it a dry sump?

I'll venture a guess...
Cost

And there are a number of new features included with this first ever large displacement FPC engine. Although dry sumps systems are not new, I believe we have one of the only Ford OE systems on our GT 5.4 engine. Wet sump is tried and true. Perhaps in the future when all the other new stuff has shown to meet all design intent targets.

That's definitely not a paddle shifter -
