Who has clearance issues for their GT in their driveways. I know, probably not many, but with the diffuser and spoiler, who has to do something special to get it over the lip on the driveway, and what creative solutions did you come up with?

Weeeeeell...how about $25K worth of driveway resculpting and landscape work?:rofl:rofl:rofl

Before I did that, I used a plywood "bridge" to get from the driveway to the street & Back. But, trust me - THAT got real old real fast...

Ouch! That's what I was afraid of. Good info.

Man $12.5K per crossing seems a little.... well, steep!

Well, 'way I 'figgered' it, doing that was cheaper than the OTHER OPTION - changing residences! :lol

('Wifey would doubtless have said, "As long as we're buying a new house, why don't we....etc., etc., etc." And at THAT point the $25K driveway bill would look like parking meter 'munny'! :willy)

Good one Kendal.. :lol And now we know why the car never left the garage.. As Paul Harvey would say " And now you know the rest of the story. Good day .." :biggrin

.... and maybe that's why the Pockets are Empty !!:lol

I think it was the full $25K - he only drove it into the garage - never came out!

(he let the buyer drive it out - - after the check was written)

:cheers

FlyLOw, try pulling in at an angle, one front wheel at a time. The front is lower than the back. In any event, the front diffuser costs less than $200 vs the rear which is probably now about $1800.

You only used it once, how old can that get? :biggrin

25k :lol
1 cut up 2 X 4

I can make it up the driveway by driving in at 45 degrees. But I have a drainage dip before the garage threshold and need 2x10'sx5' to make it inside. Huge bummer. It creates a psychological barrier to just jumping in and going for a ride. I just haven't been able to bring myself to do one of those $25K EP upgrades. Maybe that explains the 1600 miles on the car :)
And I just put a GT3 bumper on my Porsche, so it needs the boards as well. Oh the cost of beauty!

'Not that simple, 'Pete. 'Had a STEEP approach angle on the driveway where it met the street...and the street has a PRONOUNCED crown to IT as well that drops down to MEET the driveway. So basically what I had was TWO "down bubble" paved surfaces coming together which created a deep valley where they met...which ment no matter HOW much of an angled approach I used, as soon as the front tire(s) dropped into that valley, the "chin spoiler" said "hello" to the pavement even BEFORE the wheel(s) "bottomed out" in the valley. (Well, it[they] WOULD have w/o the bridge I made.)

So, it was a case of either keep hauling that dangedable bridge down to the foot of the driveway in my p/u everytime 'wifey & I went crusin' - OR redo the driveway. And I can tell ya after a couple months of doin' that the $25K looked like the bargain of the century! :lol

though it may have been easier to rent a hanger at the airport to park the GT in. My hats off to you for all the effort it took to drive it when you did drive it.:cheers Thanks for sharing:bow
