Carroll Shelby's 85th BD Bash

Hey is anyone going to Carroll Shelby's 85th Birthday Bash in Vegas? Shelby limited it to about 100 tickets. Were you one of the lucky ones? It is the weekend of January 11th in Vegas.

If any of you are going, let me know and maybe we can hook up on the way or at the event:cheers

I really wanted to attend this event but when I got the law suit papers in the mail the other day it took the wind out of my sails. I did attend the tribute for CS at the Pedersen a few weeks ago. Boy, did I get blindsided. :confused

Unfortunately I was too late for the tickets :frown. Some people are talking about a cruise on the stangsunleashed forum from LA to Vegas on the 11th.
My Black GT500 will be at Shelby at that time for the 40th conversion (They emailed yesterday to let me know to arrange delivery :banana), and if allowed I will do the cruise, check on my car, or pick it up. Then I'll probably hang out in Vegas for the weekend if they don't let us attend any of the events.

I'll be making the drive as well. I haven't decided if I'm bringing the FGT or the GT500? I don't expect to be called for the Super Snake till summer, so I may just take the Shelby. PM me if you are driving down.

There is no law suit. A lawyer letter has been sent.
For SAAC to send out this communication with their press release was absurd.
Yes it is about money, but... to quote Tomy Hamon it is really about 'courtesy'....

I assume someone has called directly to Carroll? I would think there must be some sort of solution? Unless there is an underlying other reason why they would be doing this good or bad?
