Carbon and Ceramic brakes

Short answer is I don't know... will inspect and get a lot more details once the car gets here...

And we will all enjoy loking at it @ VIR.

I know this is an old thread, but I hope it's OK to bring it back to life...

Case is that I have ordered 2 complete sets of front brakes from the ZR1. I asked around for vendors on a Corvette board, and people for most loved the GT-TT and was very helpful (was afraid I was gonna get flamed, but they all put that to shame).
Actually a vendor came back with a really good price on the package, I was for sure surprised, and hit the "ad to basket button" right away :biggrin.

When the parts lands on my doorstep I will begin the project of mounting, and knowing that Ray and Stormcat allready have been there, I searched the forum for info and came across this thread, but it seems it went dead before any of the gentlemen posted details and pictures.

I figure that the way I want to do mine is the Stormcat way (modifying calipers and not uprights like Ray) - so I'm hoping that I could get some info and advise from you Mr Cat:thumbsup

If anybody would like to get the contact from where to get a complete ceramic set: 4 front rotors, 4 front calipers, pads and mounting kit for just over 8K - just let me know...

Cheers :cheers

To be clear, does that mean you will be using the fronts on all 4 corners?

I'm using ZR1 front brakes (rotors and calipers) on both the front and rear on the GT...

Maybe you can start a new thread about the installation and it's requirements? :driving:

Of course - I'll be most happy to help others. I've gotten loads of support from fellow members in the past, I see no reason not to share my experiences with you guys - as long as it's subject to cars and not women:lol..
