I received an unsolicited letter from Cantrell Holdings, Ltd indicating they are interested in purchasing my 2005 Ford GT. They specify that the mileage must be under 15K and I must be the 1st or 2nd owner.
Although, I meet their criteria, I am not interested in selling my car at this time - but was curious if anyone else has received similar offers and if they know anything about Cantrell Holdings?

I have received these letters in the past but I cant recall the name but it had a Houston address. I believe there is a thread on the Forum as these letters started years ago.

Tony calls me periodically to see if I want to sell. The market is good!

I got a letter, but my car fails on both fronts.....guess it has no resale value

I've got 316 miles on mine and I'm the 2nd owner. And $500K might pry it from my hands 😁 .. and tomorrow it might be more! (y)

A shame you don’t drive it....
Might as well sell it...
I’m proud to say I got 55k of pure driving enjoyment on mine!
Don’t care what the cash value is. The enjoyment value is over the moon!

How is he getting our information? Is it in the public domain?

Got it 8/26/20 and have been in the middle of a big work project that winds down over the next year. Miles should start increasing more as that happens (y)

Nah, I even like just looking at it. Even its potential is awesome 😁

That's great  🍻

Anthony (Tony) Cantrell has been sending letters to owners of 05-06 Ford GT’s for many years. He even made me a ridiculous offer on my 2017 Ford GT a couple of months ago! He picks the information up from registrations all over the country! Is he a decent buyer? NO! He’s a broker!

I figured he may be a broker, but was not sure if he was legitimate or if the letter was a scam.
I am not interested in selling mine yet, but if price keeps going up, who knows?
Thanks to all for the responses!

Definitely in the Top 5 most annoying things about owning a GT over the last 10+ years.

Get these a couple of times per year. He even offered to buy my new GT for a maximum of $100k over MSRP. The guy is a ‘class act’.........

I received this round of letters again.
He has not sniffed out my 2020 yet.
😎

He must buy one now and then or he would stop trying. Crazy thing, within 30 minutes of crashing my first one I was getting calls regarding selling the salvage. Someone posted a picture and someone guessed it was mine and the phone started ringing.

“Secretly”, has been taken out of the dictionary! No such thing any longer!

Maybe he needs 20 people to reply and express "interest" so he can conduct PPIs at his expense, only to have sellers back out....
Would be an expensive lesson for him...
