If so - can the limit be set to my own choice, or is it a case of a fixed programme/limit??

When you post a picture of a pooper like that, do you expect anyone to care about a rev limiter? :eek

:cheers

If the programer that you got it from has it programed in it, to let you to do it, than you can, if he doesn't, than you can't!!

AMB is correct, the rev limiter is a user adjustable option on the X-cal2, but it may have not been programmed in by your tuner.

You can rev to 7000rpm, it will hold it, but I'm not sure if there is an actual benefit to it.

Looking at the responses to this thread, at least you, me, & the originator of this post are 100% heterosexual.

if you are runnin a whipple or twin turbos with 20 psi or more then you will want to shift at 7,000 rpm's to get the max gains. set your rev limiter to 7,200 rpm's

If I had to guess, those are bolt-ons, not OEMs. :biggrin

I like aftermarket bolt on if they are done correctly. From what I can see, these are an improvement on the stock units. But I can't tell if the fit and finish are as good as OEM without closer inspection.
